An interspecies friendship is a connection that is formed between animals of different species.
Domestication of animals has created very unusual interspecies friendships between two (or more) species that would naturally never exist bond together otherwise.
Domestication is defined as a multi-generational relationship in which one group of organisms assumes a significant degree of influence over the reproduction and care of another group to secure a more predictable supply of resources from that second group. Many cases around the world have been reported among wild and domesticated animals and documented with photography and video.
These happy three friends bellow are great example of interspecies friendship!
These fellas have been together ever since! If these three animals weren’t domesticated, this “friendship” would not end very well. It would not end well at all.
On their Facebook Page, the creator described them perfectly:
“We are a female guinea pig and pitbull trio living in San Francisco.
Our parent adopted us in 2015 and we have been inseparable since.
MOKI: American pitbull terrier that is sweet, loves to cuddle, is playful, clumsy, and loves being the center of attention.
FRIDA: Abyssinian guinea pig (black fur) that can’t sit still, is chatty, loves to eat, loves to poop, and likes to bite and tug on shirts and towels.
PANDORA: American guinea pig that is calculating, menacing, likes to stare, and is the pack leader.”
As you can see, each and every one of these cute animals is a story on its own, but when they combine, they form an unbreakable trio!
Take a look at Moki the dog cleaning both of the guinea pigs!
