Some people seem to be born with inherently beautiful voices, but even professional singers have to work hard and practice often to maintain their singing abilities.
There are plenty of tools and steps you can take to become a better singer from getting professional training, exercising your body and your voice, to simply incorporating the proper posture and breathing techniques.
But when we hear someone like Kennedy Holmes, it seems like she was born with all the necessary things to sing like an angel. We just cannot add up anything to this voice. It would be too much!
Kennedy Holmes is 13-year-old girl from St. Louis, and she shocked all four judges on the season premiere of The Voice with her amazing rendition of Adele‘s “Turning Tables.”
Holmes was off to a great start from the get-go: As she sang the opening tune, Clarkson said, “Oh man.”
Before she reached the chorus, Adam Levine pushed the button to see who’s the girl behind this astounding voice. Clarkson, Hudson and Shelton also pushed the buttons to see this amazing talent.
After a standing ovation from the judges Shelton told Hudson, “I think she could win. I really do.” But the biggest shock was yet to come: Holmes’ age.
When Holmes revealed that she is a 13-year-old teenager, Clarkson was so shocked that she got out of her chair and screamed, “What?”
In my opinion, Adam Levine gave her the most touching comment: “Very, very rarely does someone come around that kind of reignites our passion for what we do. And to hear you sing today did that.”
Finally, Holmes chose Hudson to be her coach. Hudson tweeted, “I am SO GRATEFUL to be your coach, Kennedy. We are going to do amazing things together little girl !!”
