The Shocking True Story Of A Man Who Found Babies In A Freezer At His Sister’s Home

Police in Boston were taken aback when they responded to a complaint in November 2022.

A man reported to 911 that he had discovered a baby in his sister’s freezer.

Three more babies were discovered after the flat was searched; they all looked to be newborns, but it was unknown how old they were or why they had been kept in the freezer.

The brother of 69-year-old former resident Alexis Aldamir made the police contact.

The horrifying find was discovered by the guy and his wife as they were cleaning his sister’s house after she had apparently moved out of the flat.

On April 30, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden declared that Aldamir would not face any prosecution due to several reasons.

For investors, the matter is resolved as she currently resides in a residential health care facility.

Aldamir had spent decades residing in the apartment

A DA’s office release states that Aldamir bought the apartment in 1983 and lived there for a considerable amount of time.

She was supposedly associated with a man for several years, but he passed away in 2011.

The infants were found in the freezer at her apartment by her brother, which prompted an investigation to try to determine what had transpired.

According to the announcement, Aldamir’s previous partner was the father of the four babies, and a DNA test performed by the police established this.

A timetable was attempted to be established by the investigators

Her employment began in March 1980 and ended in October 2021 with an accounting firm. Police visited the company after their inquiry led them there and spoke with Aldamir’s former coworkers to find out if anyone was aware of the babies.

“Co-workers who spoke with investigators described Alexis Aldamir as a hard worker who rarely took vacations. They also said she was a heavy-set woman who had a penchant for wearing loose-fitting clothing regardless of the season. None of Aldamir’s co-workers knew her to be pregnant at any point,” the release reads.

It is said that all of the newborns were full-term fetuses

All four babies—two boys and two girls—had their umbilical cords attached and seemed to be full term, according to the DA. Additionally, the placentas of the two females were still attached to them.

“The medical examiner reported that there was no scientific method to determine how long the babies had been frozen. The autopsy found no signs of internal or external trauma and no evidence of obvious injuries. There were no signs of food, milk, or formula inside the babies’ stomachs,” the release reads.

Aldamir and her boyfriend reportedly had a kid in 1982 that they gave up for adoption in addition to the four other children. It seemed that nobody was aware of their pregnancy.

Whether a crime was ever committed is unknown

The DA’s office stated that the case had a number of difficulties.

First of all, since the medical examiner did not ascertain the causes of death, there was no proof the children were ever alive.

If the cause of the deaths is unknown, it is impossible to label them as homicides.

According to reports, there were no visible injuries or indications of a battle.

The baby’s father cannot be questioned because he is deceased. Regretfully, it seems that Aldamir is unable to explain what transpired to investigators.

When interacting with the police, the mother appeared perplexed

During her interview with investigators, Aldamir allegedly showed signs of confusion and a lack of understanding.

She didn’t help with the investigation or offer any information regarding the crime. Aldamir would not be able to face trial, it was concluded after looking over court documents.

“A prosecutor’s office cannot ethically move forward with a case that, in good faith, it believes it cannot bring to trial,” the release reads. “Here, based on the evidence obtained throughout the investigation, including the many unanswered questions about the cause of death of the four babies, prosecutors have made the determination that they will not be able to bring this case to trial. Therefore, this investigation will not result in criminal charges.”
