Prince Harry’s Response To His Brother Prince William’s New Title From King Charles
According to reports, Prince Harry is “in tears” after learning that their father has given his elder brother a new title.
A new military title given to Prince William was formerly held by the Duke of Sussex.
The Duke of Sussex has responded to the announcement that Prince William has taken over as the Army Air Corps’ colonel in chief, according to British royal family news. The first source of information on Prince William’s new title was Buckingham Palace. If Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal analyst, is to be believed, Prince Harry is quite upset.
“King Charles’ announcement that Prince Harry is being stripped of his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Corps is a real kick in the teeth for the son who always felt marginalised,” Richard said when discussing the issue.
He continued by saying that the fact that Prince Harry’s brother, whom he believes to be the “cause of so many of his problems,” is getting the part adds insult to injury. It is reported that the Duke of Sussex “was in tears when he heard” the information.
It seems that even though the senior royals knew they would be hurting Prince Harry’s feelings, “they have decided the gloves are off.”
Richard said, “Harry needs to realize that when you betray the family, you don’t just escape the things you hated doing as a working royal.” This statement expresses how the royal family thinks about the current situation. You also lose the things you loved.”
The fact that Prince Harry enjoyed his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps and that “he was very proud” of it only serves to aggravate the wound. Because it was “a rare happy time in his life” and he was honoured for his accomplishments “as a man” rather than as a member of the royal family, Richard claimed that the Duke is also devastated.
Prince Harry’s “last few ties to his old life are being cut and he is being set adrift, permanently,” as Richard puts it, with the title handover just days away on May 13 at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop.
The Duke of Sussex, who was given the KCVO Neck Order and Star by his late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, yesterday (May 9) in St. Paul’s Cathedral, appears to be resisting being forced out, though.
He was present at the cathedral in observance of the Invictus Games’ tenth anniversary. As a component of the Royal Victorian Order, the prestigious medal is given to a person in appreciation of their services to the king.
Royal novelist Tom Quinn has expressed his opinions regarding why Prince Harry decided to wear his medal of honour, much as Richard has speculated about how the prince responded to his brother’s new title.
“Wearing this was Harry’s way of reminding his family that his grandmother valued his contribution […] wearing the medal is Harry’s way of saying ‘You’ve taken everything else from me, but you can’t take this!'” Tom told a media site.
Prince Harry was dealt a severe blow when his brother took over as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Corps during his time in the United Kingdom, but it does not lessen the fact that he has strong ties to the armed forces.
Before he concluded his operational service in 2015, Prince Harry served in the military for ten years, including two tours of duty in Afghanistan with the British Army. Prince Harry and other royal family members “have official relationships with many units of the Forces.”
According to the King and Queen of England’s official website, the royal family pays “regular visits” to soldiers, airmen, and sailors who serve both domestically and overseas. For a very long time, they have acknowledged and encouraged “the work of the Armed Services.”
Thinking back to the announcement of Prince William’s new title, there has been conjecture over the timing of the revelation. The fact that it is well known that Prince Harry and his father’s relationship has been strained recently has given rise to a lot of public speculation.
“This is one of the most public rifts in the world. If it was handled in private without so much press speculation, it would have a better chance of being resolved,” asserted Richard while speaking about Prince Harry and King Charles III.
Even during Prince Harry’s visit back to the United Kingdom earlier this week, a meeting between him and the King of England was deemed impossible due to the extreme distance between the father and son. The populace responded to this with fervour.
“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” stated a spokeswoman for Prince Harry.
“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon,” the statement continued. A media outlet claimed that King Charles III had a packed agenda because he had just started performing public royal responsibilities again.
When it was revealed that Prince Harry and King Charles III did not meet each other throughout this period, the public responded angrily and shocked, with many voicing their disgust in the King. “That’s absolutely unforgivable, that a Dad can’t prioritize his son. King or not!!!” a social media user reprimanded.
Similarly, someone else expressed, “Harry deserves better. Shame on #KingCharles. He treated #PrincessDiana terrible as well. #TheWholeWorldIsWatching.” “Shameful… but Prince Harry can sleep well at night. He has reached out numerous times,” commented another.
Another person who had strong feelings about the issue said, “Sadly, his father chooses his position over his family. His father has made it very clear where his love is. If he really wanted to see his son he would and could. This whole situation clearly shows that it is all about him and his ‘control over others.'”
After labouring behind the scenes throughout his cancer diagnosis and treatment, King Charles III welcomed Fiji’s Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka, to an audience at Buckingham Palace on May 7. The first garden party of the season, held at Buckingham Palace on May 8, further occupied the King’s time.
Prince Harry was just as busy and booked as his father. He was in the UK for the Invictus Games’ anniversary, which began on May 7 with a panel discussion. Then Prince Harry performed a reading at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
