Michael J. Fox Shares Heartwarming Tribute To Wife Tracy Pollan After 35 Years Of Marriage

Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan are a beautiful example of a successful Hollywood couple.

For almost 30 years, they have stood by each other through thick and thin, notably during Fox’s struggle with Parkinson’s disease.

The couple recently celebrated 35 years of marriage, and the actor wrote a touching letter to his wife on the occasion.

It’s been 35 years!

The 62-year-old Back to the Future actor posted a gallery of images from his own collection featuring him and Tracy.

“35 years of laugher, living, listening and loving you,” Fox wrote in the caption. “Thank you for it all. Forever yours, Mike.”

“Love you so much!!!” Pollan replied in the comments. She also shared her own Instagram post paying tribute to her husband:

“Happy anniversary my love. Here’s to many more glorious adventures together. I could not love you more,” she wrote.

Since Pollan recently turned 63, her husband Fox has been sharing thoughtful birthday messages for her online. “She showers the people she loves with love, she shows them the way that she feels,” he wrote.

“My forever Summer girl, my love, my best friend, and the most beautiful amazing mom to our four stupendous kids. Love love love you.”

Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan – love story

Since 1988, Fox and Pollan have been happily married. Pollan played Alex P. Keaton’s girlfriend on the set of Family Ties, where the two actors initially met years previously.

They reconnected while filming Bright Lights, Big City and eventually started dating.

They tied the knot on July 16th, 1988. Together, they have raised four children: Sam, identical twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, and Esmé.

Fox’s life took a sad turn in 1991, just a few years after his marriage, when he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.

“It was scary,” Fox recalled on The Late Show With David Letterman in 2015. “I was 29 years old and so it was the last thing I expected to hear. I thought I’d hurt my shoulder doing some stunt because I had a twitch in my pinkie. And the doctor said ‘You have Parkinson’s disease.’ He said, ‘The good news is that you have 10 years of work left.’”

Fox believes his wife’s unconditional love and support got him through the hardest parts of coming to terms with his illness.

“We didn’t know what to expect,” Fox told Today. “One of the things I’ll always love Tracy for is that at that moment, she didn’t blink.”

They’ve been together for 35 years, and they’re still very much in love with one another.

“I think we really listen to each other, we are there for each other when we need each other,” Pollan told People. “And then we also give each other space when that’s needed. Just feeling off of what’s needed at the moment and trying to be there.”

“Tracy gives our family everything that we need. Any good in our family, anything good that we do, comes from her,” Fox added.

Fox announced his retirement from acting in 2021 and recently stated that his fight against Parkinson’s was “getting tougher” and that he was “not gonna be 80,” but that he was still “happy.”

Fox’s tremendous work with the Michael J. Fox Foundation to improve Parkinson’s care and ultimately find a cure for the disease continues.

Having raised over $1 billion, the foundation is the largest charitable donor of Parkinson’s disease research.
