Donny Osmond Shares Emotional Update From Hospital Bed—Fans Rally In Support

One of the most well-liked singers and performers in the United States is Donny Osmond. He has had a great career, but he has also had health problems. On Wednesday, he posted a fresh video of himself being drugged in a hospital bed. Now, fans express their worry for the former member of The Osmonds.

Donny Osmond was a professional entertainer before he was even six years old, and he has always been pursued by ardent admirers. The 67-year-old great has experienced a number of health problems over the years, and he even came dangerously near to losing one of his eyes as a young man.

In an interview with Metro, Donny talked about how he nearly lost an eye while in Manchester during “crazy Osmondmania.”

“I was walking into this hotel, and all these fans started rushing towards me. And one girl was just making a beeline. She had an autograph book in one hand and a pen in the other, and she gets to me and just wraps her arms around me as hard as she could, and the pen came around and hits me right [in the eye]. Almost took my eye out,” Osmond said.

OSmond has experienced numerous health problems over the years, and he sensed something wasn’t right during his and his sister Marie’s final Las Vegas residency performance in 2019. He told the Mirror that he was suddenly unable to feel his legs as well as his arms.

“I didn’t tell anyone what was happening to me……I just kept dancing and finished the show.”

When Osmond saw his doctor, it was discovered that he was going to have a problem: injuries he had received during his victory in the 2009 season of Strictly Come Dancing had caused his spine to shift. At the time, Donny appeared to be doing well after undergoing neck and back surgery. But what followed would be unexpected.

“I thought everything was going to be fine, but it couldn’t have been worse,” Donny explained. “I got a secondary infection, which meant I wasn’t able to move.”

Donny Osmond needed to use a walking stick just to get around during his months-long rehabilitation. Fortunately, everything improved, despite his fears that he might never be able to walk again.

Unfortunately, Osmond has returned to the hospital and is receiving a tonne of supportive comments. Donny posted a video to Instagram showing him in an operating room, receiving care from medical personnel while donning a NASA cannula and a hospital gown. A number of tubes were seen fastened to him.

Express reported he appeared to have been placed under a “mild sedative” and began singing as doctors performed the surgery. Someone in the background said, “When are you going to start singing?”

The Disney hit “Let’s Get Down to Business” from the 1998 film Mulan was then sung by Donny Osmond.

Fans show their support

Before he passed out, Donny remarked, “I’m starting to get dizzy,” as the sedative took effect. After that, the video showed Donny waking up and carrying on with his singing.

“What better way to power through a procedure than singing your alltime favorite rally song?! I’m feeling all better now!” Donny wrote in the caption to the clip shared on his Instagram page.

“Oh this hurt my heart. Feel better soon,” one fan commented.

A second said, “Oh my goodness, I loved that except for the fact you had to have surgery. Glad you’re all better now!”

“Sending you healing energy and so much love,” a third commented, while a fourth wrote, “So sorry to hear. Get well soon.”
