BREAKING NEWS: Dancer and DJ ‘tWitch’ Dead at 40
The LAPD was informed by tWitch’s wife after she reportedly raced to the closest station that he had apparently left home without his car. tWitch is married to fellow dancer Alison Holker. It was unusual for him to leave the house without his car. Holker was reportedly in a panic when she sought assistance.
According to additional information provided by TMZ, the LAPD was alerted of a gunshot at a hotel not long after Holker ran to them for assistance. Police discovered Stephen there, dead from what seemed to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Holker didn’t reveal what might have prompted tWitch to commit suicide, but she did leave the following statement with People magazine: “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends, and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans. Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you.”
In addition to his wife, Stephen Boss is survived by his two biological children, whom he shares with Alison, as well as his loving stepdaughter. On Sunday, December 11, just two days prior, Holker posted a video of her and her husband dancing as they frequently do on Instagram.
Since 2013, Holker and tWitch have been wed. At the time of his death, he was only 40 years old. Holker and the rest of tWitch’s loved ones are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
