The Babysitter Was Taken Aback When She Searched For “Monsters” Beneath The Child’s Bed, Only To Find Something Far More Threatening

A babysitter in Kansas was shocked when she looked under the child’s bed for “monsters” and saw something she hadn’t seen before.

People who have ever babysat a toddler or young child will know what it’s like for monsters to hide in their bedroom. The idea is at the heart of Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., so it’s clear that this is a common problem.

Usually, a child’s fear of a “monster” comes from something they’ve read or seen on TV. That doesn’t mean that big things can’t be hiding behind the curtain or among the clothes in the closet, but it’s not likely to happen.

Police from the Barton County Sheriff’s Office in Kansas were called to a house on March 24 because of a disturbance. They arrived at the location just outside of Great Bend.

When the police arrived, they found a babysitter at the house taking care of several kids.

It was stated that one of the kids had said there was a “monster” hiding under their bed, so the babysitter looked under the bed to reassure them that it wasn’t true.

It turned out that the maid was wrong, which was too bad.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office say in a Facebook post that the babysitter “came face-to-face with a male suspect who was hiding there.”

It’s not clear how long the suspect had been hiding under the bed, but when he was caught, he and the victim got into a fight, and one of the kids was knocked over. They then ran away before the police arrived.

The victim was able to tell the police that the man was Martin Villalobos Junior, a past resident of the house. Since then, Junior had been protected by an abuse order that told him to stay away from the house.

The suspect was looked for by the police, who found him the next morning. He tried to run away on foot, but was caught after a “short pursuit.”

After being caught, 27-year-old Junior was taken to the Barton County Jail and booked on charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated battery, child endangerment, felony obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and violation of a protection from abuse order.

He is being held because he doesn’t have a $500,000 bail.
