Aircar: Certified Flying Car From Slovakia To Launch Early 2026 For $800k–$1M

The world’s ‘first flying automobile’ will be available for purchase very soon, so you’d better start saving.

Although flying automobiles have long been seen as a sign of a technologically advanced future, it is difficult to understand that someone would really build one, much less market it to the general public.

Klein Vision, a Slovakian business, has been developing the AirCar, a two-seater car that can both drive on the road and take you into the sky.

Practical considerations must be made; for example, the car is so big that it would be difficult to fit into a supermarket parking spot, but it does have wings.

Speaking of wings, that fantastic future where you can simply get into your flying automobile and fly between air and ground transportation is still a ways off.

A runway is still required to launch the AirCar, and it is likely that you will also need a comparably accommodating piece of land to return it to Earth on.

I’ll remind you that this is a flying car, but it’s not going to be the most agile of vehicles because it’s two meters wide, 1.8 meters tall, and an enormous 5.8 meters long.

The wings tuck inside the car when not in use and only come out when necessary, so you don’t have to worry about them continually jutting out and wreaking havoc on every pavement you pass. Additionally, the wingspan of 8.2 meters is a really excellent thing.

The car’s tail also extends slightly when in flying mode, reaching a length of almost seven meters.

According to Top Gear, the AirCar is expected to go on sale in “early 2026,” or the beginning of next year, so if this all sounds good to you, celebrate.

You will need to spend approximately £600,000 to purchase one, which is quite expensive (we cannot stress enough that this is a flying car). However, if you have that much money to spend on a new car, you are most likely the type of person who was considering purchasing a light aircraft as a hobby.

The AirCar has a cruise speed of 155 mph and a fuel range of roughly 620 miles, in case you’re wondering how fast and how far you can go.

Although you won’t be able to travel higher than 10,000 feet in it, you should still be able to reach your destination, so you probably won’t need to.

Welcome to the futuristic world where flying automobiles are a reality. This thing was certified as airworthy back in 2022.

All you need now is the money to purchase it, familiarity with nearby airstrips, and perhaps some instruction on how to land it safely.
