Jesse J Reveals Heartbreaking Diagnosis In A New Video
“Early breast cancer,” the British pop singer revealed on social media on Wednesday, was Jessie J’s diagnosis.
The 37-year-old musician, whose true name is Jessica Ellen Cornish, said that prior to the release of her most recent track, “No Secrets,” in April, she received a breast cancer diagnosis. After performing at London’s annual music festival, Summertime Ball, on June 15, she announced that she would have surgery.
“Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding onto the word ‘early,'” she told her nearly 14 million followers on Instagram in a video.
Part of the reason Jessie J is releasing her diagnosis is that she’s “not processing it,” since she’s been preoccupied with her job.
“Sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories,” the singer said.

Rita Ora and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, two other British pop singers, were among the many encouraging comments that flooded the video.
“Your literally my favourite person and I’m praying for you you’ve got this. my mother had it and I know the surgery and any treatment on this matter is mentally tough so I’m here for you. X,” Ora wrote.
The Grammy-nominated singer is well-known for having a strong and distinctive voice. “Price Tag,” “Masterpiece,” “Do It Like a Dude,” “Domino,” and “Bang Bang,” which she co-wrote with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj in 2014, are some of her best-known songs. “No Secrets,” her most recent single, was her first since 2018.
There are five main stages of breast cancer, ranging from Stage 0 to Stage 4. The National Breast Cancer Foundation states that breast cancer in its early stages is “highly treatable and survivable,” yet the artist did not provide any other information regarding her diagnosis.
