A Father Who Was Seen On Tv Killing The Man Who Snatched And Abused His Son Responded Chillingly When Asked About The Murder Years Later

Years after killing a man who ‘ra**d and kidnapped’ his son, a parent who was questioned about it reaffirmed his actions.

Jody Plauché, who was in primary school at the time, endured years of sexual assault and grooming at the hands of Jeffrey Doucet, his karate instructor, in the 1980s.

In February 1984, Doucet took Jody to a motel in Anaheim, California, and abducted the young boy.

After his abuser let Jody call his mother from the motel where he was being held, police were able to locate him and Doucet after he had been missing for two weeks.

By March 1, Doucet was in police custody and Jody was back with his family.

Doucet was returned to Louisiana for a trial for his claimed crimes, but he never appeared before a judge.

He was shot in the head and put into a coma upon landing at Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. The next day, he passed away from his wounds.

It was later discovered that Gary Plauché, Jody’s father, was the one who had shot him.

Gary, who was attempting to hide his identity, was observed wearing a cap and feigning to be on the phone when local TV channel WBRZ was filming Doucet’s arrival.

The moment Gary fired at Doucet and the culprit fell to the ground was then captured on tape.

A police officer was quick to identify the father and rushed over to him and said, “Why, Gary?! Why?!”

Gary never went to jail, even though he was the one who killed Doucet.

The father accepted a plea bargain that saw him enter a no contest plea to manslaughter after initially being charged with second-degree murder.

Gary was given a seven-year suspended sentence, five years of probation, and 300 hours of community service, which he finished in 1989 as part of the agreement.

Gary insisted that he would do it all over again and had no regrets when questioned about the murder during an ESPN special report.

Jody talked about how he’s coping after his horrible childhood experience last year.

As he stated to The Mirror, “I wouldn’t trade my life,” “Knowing how it turned out, I wouldn’t trade it in for anything.”

Jody has devoted a significant portion of his adult life to activism and educating others about the issue of child sex exploitation.

He made this decision after learning from the Baton Rouge sheriff that another young kid came forward to disclose the abuse he had suffered at the hands of his local pastor as a result of one of his 1991 talk show appearances.

“That’s the moment where I decided that I’m going to keep raising awareness. I’m going to keep speaking out, and hopefully, I can make a difference,” Jody said.
