At The Age Of 70, Tito Jackson, The Third Of The Jackson Family’s Nine Children Passed Away

At the age of 70, Tito Jackson, the third of the Jackson family’s nine children, passed away.

On September 15, 2024, Tito Jackson, the brother of international celebrities Michael and Janet Jackson, passed away unexpectedly.

Tito came from a family of musicians whose classics are still beloved today. He was a member of the Jackson 5, a cherished pop group. Unfortunately, Tito passed away while traveling from New Mexico to Oklahoma, according to Steve Manning, a longtime friend of the Jackson family and former manager of the Jackson family.

Although Tito’s official cause of death is unknown, Steve thinks that he had a heart attack while driving. Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson, his boys, are grieving for their father. They honored him with a heartfelt Instagram message.

They wrote, “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being. Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as ‘Coach Tito’ or some know him as ‘Poppa T.’ Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously.”

There were several pictures attached to the post.

Six days before his death, on September 9, 2024, in Munich, Germany, Tito was last seen in pictures. The current lineup of The Jacksons, which also includes his brothers Jackie and Marlon Jackson, was due to perform the day after the encounter.

Fans are now lamenting Tito’s passing and offering their sons condolences from all around the world. As members of the band 3T, the three boys will remember their father’s influence and impact on their lives and careers by continuing his musical legacy via their own work.

Married to Dee Dee Jackson, Tito continued to be an outspoken supporter of his brother Michael Jackson’s legacy. He sensed his presence each time he took the stage, and he frequently saw the smiles of the children.

Even more than a decade after Michael’s passing, Tito continued to feel his loss deeply. In August 2024, he said, “The world was not kind to Michael at all. I don’t know why. I would always say if we didn’t have him, we sure would miss him. His death was such a major tragedy.”

Tito, who adored Michael, added, “The world definitely missed out on a lot of goodness from him, because he wasn’t just a musician or an artist, he was a loving person. He loved to give.” When it came to celebrating his brother, Tito often encouraged fans to come together and enjoy music.

He was adamant that Michael still had the title of King of Pop and that his enduring songs would guarantee the continuation of his legacy. Tito was sure that Michael’s legacy would live on forever and inspire future generations.

Like Michael, Tito, who was also an actor and producer, was dedicated to his craft. He had no intention of leaving the stage anytime soon, noting, “I plan to be like BB King – play music until I die. Like Frank Sinatra or Sammy Davis Jr or Dean Martin. It’s fun, it’s peace of mind, it’s pleasure. I think, for an artist, music extends their lives.”

Tito consistently distanced his music from negative elements like vulgarity or contempt, emphasizing instead the love and joy that permeated it.

He constantly supported endeavors started by his family and upheld the idea that music has the power to inspire and enlighten people. He demonstrated these ideals via his work and demeanor.
