A Man Discovers A 50 Year Old Wallet Inside An Abandoned Locker; He Is Speechless Upon Seeing The Images Inside
Any amateur treasure hunter or collector’s desire is to find something that is considerably more valuable than they had previously realized, whether it be sentimental or financial.
Yes, there’s a good reason why a huge number of people consider treasure seeking to be a serious pastime. Some become so proficient at it that they eventually turn it into a career.
Of course, no matter how many storage units you go through, how many antique trunks you open, or how many ancient vases you buy in the hopes of unearthing anything valuable, truly life-changing discoveries are a rarity.
The most intriguing discovery of treasure hunter Anton Lulgjuraj’s life occurred in May 2017, when he unlocked an abandoned locker and discovered a 50-year-old wallet. Lulgjuraj started his adventure years earlier by purchasing disused storage units in New York state.
Although his discovery wouldn’t make him a millionaire, it was certainly enough to make news once the wallet’s prior owner was identified.
Anton Lulgjuraj bought an abandoned locker in May 2017 with the intention of selling something within.
According to accounts, he had no idea what was stored in the unit, but upon opening it, he discovered several objects that had once belonged to an Air Force pilot. There found an old, beat-up wallet tucked away inside a tiny box.
The wallet included a California driver’s license from the late 1960s that belonged to a woman named Diane Hall, even if there was no spectacular discovery for Anton to sell.
Anton wasn’t very interested in the woman’s identity or the fact that the card said she was twenty years old, but he nevertheless went through the wallet and discovered an actor’s equity card and a few old pictures.
Anton became intrigued by the photographs and the equity card, so he started to look into it more. Amazingly, his efforts brought him to the shocking discovery that “Diane Hall” had become the legendary actress Diane Keaton!
The next thing Anton did was tweet the Something’s Gotta Give actress in an attempt to get her attention. He reasoned that even if her wallet was fifty years old, she could wish to be reunited with it.
“I think anybody always hopes that like if they lose a wallet, there’s a hope that, you know, one day you’ll get your wallet back,” Anton said.
“And you know, so like, this is great.”
Reports state that Keaton initially chose not to reply to Anton’s post. However, the actress was made aware of the news when it was published by the New York Daily News.
Today Keaton is 77 years old, and when she shared about Anton’s discovery on Instagram, she was obviously thrilled.
“SOMEONE FOUND A WALLET I LOST 50 YEARS AGO! THANK YOU, MR. LULGJURAJ!,” her post read.
“PLEASE DM ME! THIS PHOTO WAS IN IT, I’M ON THE FAR RIGHT, CAN YOU BELIEVE THOSE BANGS?!”
Whoa! What a fantastic discovery made by Anton, and what a lovely way the narrative concluded with Diane praising the finding.
