Family Moves Into First Home But Dog Starts To Act Strangely – Then Mom Looks Closer At The Walls

When people start shopping for a new home, they usually have a long list of requirements.

The amount of bedrooms may be important to some, while a huge yard or garage may be more appealing to others.

Nonetheless, I believe we can all agree there are certain qualities none of us want from/in a new home, despite the fact that taste and preference vary from potential buyer to potential buyer.

After weeks of research, Amber Hall finally discovered the perfect first home in a Centennial, Colorado, four-bedroom, two-bathroom listing.

The location was perfect for her family, and she had envisioned many pleasant hours in the backyard with her two kids and two dogs.

She had no idea that the house already had inhabitants… albeit of the somewhat slimy variety.

Amber couldn’t wait for her family to finally close on the house and make it their home.

The peculiar behavior of one of her dogs, though, set up warning bells in her head as she unpacked.

Her words, as reported by KOAA: “I was trying to unpack, and my dog crouched down and he started walking over here really slow.”

“I came over to see what he was looking at, thinking it was like a spider or something, and there were two little holes right here and I saw snakes slither up the wall. So, I panicked.”

That’s right; you saw it written there. Rattlesnakes in the drywall.

Large serpents reportedly wrapped themselves up inside the wall next to the exit from her garage into her yard.

Hall felt warmth when she put her hand farther up the wall, a worrying sign that there were more of the creatures hiding there.

“Shockingly big,” she said of the snakes.

“After all the research, everybody’s saying they’re some form of garter snake. But they’re also giving the caveat that nobody’s ever seen their garter snake that big.

“I can’t unpack any of my stuff because I’m definitely afraid that there’s snakes in the boxes or under the boxes… It’s like you crawl into bed, and if the sheet brushes your foot or something, you immediately rip the covers off or jump out of bed to make sure nothing’s in there.”

A little more than a week ago, the first snake was spotted, according to Amber. Ten snakes have been discovered since then.

The worried mother eventually hired a snake wrangler to humanely remove the reptiles from the house.

He informed Amber that some of the snakes might have been dwelling in the home for the past two years due to their large size.

“I don’t feel like I’m the first one to find them, but I don’t think that anybody would ever say that they knew they were there,” said Hall.

“It’s rough. I’m 42 years old, and this is my first home. I’ve worked my whole life for it, and I can’t enjoy it. My kids can enjoy it. I’m scared to death.”

Amber has spent almost $1,000 so far trying to get rid of her pest problem.

She stated she won’t feel safe until the concrete floor is torn up and they can see where they’re actually living.

My worst nightmare has come true! I can’t even begin to fathom how unpleasant life must be for Amber and her kids in a house full of snakes.
