8 Simple Zen Tricks to Help You Relieve Stress, Improve Every Day and Shift Your Entire Life

As much as we don’t like it, stress is one of the biggest parts of everyone’s lives. There are so many triggering aspects in every interaction, and this constant pressure often affects ones outlook in life. Lets also not forget that it affects our both physical and mental health. While it might be hard to get rid of stress altogether, it is not impossible to significantly lower the ongoing level of stress in our lives.

The best way to combat losing your peace of mind is to take up these few Zen Hacks.

There are a bunch of really simple things you can do that can greatly impact your world view. Doing a few of these things will help you start to feel a whole lot better.

1. Take some time for yourself

Other people contribute to the stress and chaos in your life. The more people you have in your life, the more and bigger chances of stress and chaos. Constantly being exposed to other people can be extremely detrimental. So, schedule a time every day for your own self. Do breathing exercises and meditate in your private times.

2. Be rational and patient

When there is a lot going on, try not to lose your patience and begin to panic. It is advisable that you keep your plans one day ahead. Simple things like packing your bags or your outfit a day earlier saves a ton of headaches.

3. Exercise regularly

Everyone knows exercise is amazing for your body, but it is also great for your soul. It is soothing, and has an exhilarating effect on people. The next time you go around for a quick jog, it is bound to restore your peace of mind.

4. Stay positive

The trick about staying positive is the determination to not give in to irritation or anger. It is simpler to be upset when things go wrong, but it isn’t really helpful to you or to the people around you. Figuring out how to stay positive is instrumental in reaching that state of contentment. Don’t let bitterness become you. Taking the high road is harder, but it is always worth it.

5. Don’t forget to pamper yourself every now and then

If you are too hard on yourself, the stress invariably gets to you. Sometimes you need to let yourself take a break and watch your favorite trashy sitcom, or order that dessert you have been craving for weeks. If you don’t let yourself relax, you will always be on the edge of a break down and that isn’t going to help!

6. Don’t be in denial about your feelings

If you force your emotions away and not give them a space to breathe, you will carry them around like a heavy bag. Recognizing your feelings is the first step towards dealing with them. If something makes you upset or angry, try to admit it to yourself. Once you can do that, you can dissect the cause and avoid getting caught up in negativity.

7. Be open to changes

As much as you try to plan for the future, it’s never going to work out exactly the way you want it to. Stay flexible, especially when it comes to the little things. If plans fall through or change, accept it and try not to let it affect your mood too much. Always search for other alternatives or options. Don’t be so set in your ways that you cannot see beyond them.

No matter how well you have your future planned out, everything is not going to go exactly the way you want it to. Be open to changes. If a plan falls out, don’t take it to heart. Sometimes spontaneous alternatives end up being better than staying on course. Be flexible and it will be good for you.

8. Be grateful and thankful

One of the fundamentals of reaching Zen is being grateful for everything you have. When you count what you have, and realize the things that make you lucky, it will help you appreciate your life. It won’t let you be greedy or resentful, letting you breathe and be a more open person.

Say yes to these basic techniques and you are already in Zen.
