It is an inevitable fact that when we are communicating and engaging with other people, we are opening up ourselves to their energy.
Even a gentle nudge on the escalators is enough for you to absorb the energies of the other person. And we never know whether that person has negative or positive energy around them when we come in their area of influence.
So unknowingly we absorb a lot of negative energy and emotions without even realizing it. And if we want to get rid of them, it is very important for us to practice cleansing.
1. Burning smudge
They can be burned in the form of smudge sticks or a bunch of the stuff with a yarn or cloth wrapped around it.
Make sure you carry the smoke through every corner of your house and your chakras as well.
2. Using orange or lemons peels
This is another quick way to remove negativity using aroma.
You just need the peels of an orange or a lemon and then sauté it in a non stick frying pan.
Soon your whole house will be filled with a refreshing smell of citrus and also remove any negative vibes in the place.

If you have it on you while you go about your daily routine, you will be having a mini machine that constantly makes positive energy and banishes any negative energies.

5. Using sea salt

You can add a cup of it to a warm bath and spend the next 30 minutes soaking in the warmth and releasing all the tension and negativity that you have collected during the day.

Even the most simplest of chanting – that of Om is a great way to remove negative energies from your surroundings. There are a lot of mantras and chants which you can try until you find the one which is best suited for your individuality.
8. Using essential oils
Essential oils such as sandalwood, myrrh and niaouli are all known for their inherent cleansing properties.
And you can decide how you want to incorporate them in your cleansing ritual, either by burning them or even simply inhaling them.
9. Adopting a tree
Spending time in nature is enough to fill you with positivity.
If you want, you can also adopt a tree.
Just look for the one that seems most familiar to you and spend 15-30 minutes just sitting beside it. If you’ll request the tree to take away the negativity that you are carrying, you will find yourself feeling very light after the 30 minutes.
