“Three’s Company” Star Dead At 76
Suzanne Somers passed away on October 15, a day before her 77th birthday. The actress’s longtime publicist confirmed the revelation.
In a statement shared by Somers’ camp, it reads, “Suzanne Somers passed away peacefully at home in the early morning hours of October 15th. She survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”
Alan, Suzanne’s devoted husband, her son Bruce, and her immediate family were all around her.
The news that Somers’ breast cancer had returned just as she was planning a family party to mark her 77th birthday was devastating.
Family and friends of Somers will “celebrate her extraordinary life” during a private service. The statement adds that her family “want(s) to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”
Next month, there will be a public memorial service for Somers.
Moreover, a friend of Somers’s informed Page Six that Somers “died in her new ‘all green home’ in Palm Springs, in her sleep with her loving husband by her side.”
After 46 years of marriage, Alan gave his wife Somers a birthday present just before she passed away. The friend claimed the present was “a handwritten love poem wrapped in her favorite pink peonies.”
