This Super-Cute Israeli Family Singing In The Car Will Make Your Day

This super-cute Israeli couple should win Carpool karaoke with their awesome version of Matisyahu’s “One Day”.

Judging by how they look at one another along with their infant is enough to melt our hearts!

The couple explains that One Day was originally recorded in their kitchen and uploaded to Facebook before heading out to a concert. Soon they began receiving messages from friends that the video’s sound was not working.

“So when we got there, we redid it in the car,” says Yoni “We didn’t even realize there was a whole car karaoke thing.”

Nina, a 22-year-old psychology student, and 28-year-old Jewish educator Yoni Tokayer, got married in June 2015 and began self-recording via smartphone when Nina was pregnant with their daughter Ashira — which translates to “I will sing.”

The harmonious duets by Yonina – an amalgam of their first names – are often accompanied by Nina or Yoni on acoustic guitar, or Yoni on violin, keyboards, Greek bağlama or cajon drum.

“Most fabulous song! The words, your joy, your voices, the beat, that blessed baby!” commented one fan of the couple’s a cappella cover of Matisyahu’s One Day, recorded in the front seat of their car.

“This hit me like a ton of bricks today. Although it is a beautiful and uplifting song, today I cried while watching this video and listening to the loving and beautiful words. I wish it could all be so simple. I watch how your little girl reacts and it makes me think of my grandson Greyson. My wish for him is to live in love and safety. I’ve listened to this song many times and today it just means so much more. One day. Peace be unto you” the poster continued.

One Day has been watched over 30 million times across various online platforms!
