This Is What Ashley Bratcher From ”My 600-Lb Life” Looks Like Today, And You Better Sit Down Before Seeing Her

Individuals handle stress in different ways. While some people use calming activities like lengthy walks or talking with friends to divert their attention from their issues, others resort to harmful behaviors like binge eating.

People frequently turn to food for solace, but regrettably, while eating may lift their spirits momentarily, it can have detrimental long-term repercussions on their general health.

27-year-old Ashley Bratcher, a Texas wife and mother, put on a lot of weight because she would eat unhealthy food to escape the anguish she was in after her mother abandoned her and her siblings when they were very small.

”If my mother had been paying attention I think she could’ve changed a lot of stuff that was going on. As the oldest one, I felt like I had to protect my brother and sister because they were really little. So I let it happen to me, so it wouldn’t happen to them,” she explained.

Ashley weighed 725 pounds when she finally decided it was enough.

She enrolled for the TLC program My 600-Lb Life in the hopes of finding a way out of her predicament, and she was put in contact with one of the top weight loss surgeons in the field, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, who has assisted hundreds of patients in taking back control of their eating patterns and life.

Ashley was initially informed that she wouldn’t live past the age of thirty if she kept up her current lifestyle.

It served as the necessary wake-up call for her to take control of the situation and begin her transformation.

Ashley was incapable of performing even the most basic tasks. Rather, everything was done for her by her 5-year-old son, ”He’s my legs, he helps me with just about everything. Without him, I’d be lost.” When she first appeared on the show in 2016, she declared, “I’d be lost without him.”

She was taking care of her son just as much as she was taking care of herself.

Ashley was placed on a calorie-restricted weight loss regimen prior to Dr. Now authorizing her gastric bypass surgery.

She surprised everyone by losing an incredible 123 pounds. Her procedure went quite well.

Ashley was able to take back control of her life when she shed 255 pounds. She told People, “This whole journey has been not only a physical rollercoaster, it’s been very a much an emotional rollercoaster.”

Ashley made an appearance in the 2018 episode of My 600-Lb Life – Where are they now?

She revealed to the audience that she weighed less than 300 pounds and had given up using food as a comfort. She had her confidence back and was able to do everything she had been unable to do before, including shopping and long showers.

Ashley uses her Instagram account to post pictures of herself. Many people who respect her commitment and diligence are among her fans. “Surgery is just a tool. It does not change your mindset,” she claims.

Ashley has a lot of support from her spouse Jack, with whom she recently celebrated their 12-year wedding anniversary.
