Off The Record
These Two Stellar Dancers From London Dance Through Time And It’s Fabulous
Dancing can make you forget all the bad things in your life! It can make you happy even at your worst.
Many people get caught if the moves they do are the right ones. It doesn’t matter if you do the right moves or not, because dancing is not about it and you don’t have to worry about it.
Dancing is about going with the going with the flow of the rhythm. And it doesn’t matter if the song is rock and roll or techno beat. All you have to do is DANCE.
Many people say it’s like moving meditation. It takes all your worries away for a short period of time. During that time you are only peaceful and happy.
Besides the fitness activity of dancing that has thousand of benefits for your body, Harvard research reveals that it has such beneficial effects on the brain that it is now being used to treat people with Parkinson’s disease, a progressive neurological movement disorder,.
“There’s no question, anecdotally at least, that music has a very stimulating effect on physical activity,” says Daniel Tarsy, MD, an HMS professor of neurology and director of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). “And I think that applies to dance, as well.”
