The Wheel Of Fortune Contestant Who Failed The “Easy” Puzzle “_ _ _ ERING S_ME HELP” Lost $1,000,000 Award

A Wheel of Fortune participant who misread an “easy” puzzle was so embarrassed that she had to return home.

Because you’re relaxing on your sofa and the pressure is lower, playing along with game shows at home is simple.

However, things become a little more difficult in a studio setting where a large number of people are following you every move.

I had an interview with The Chase once, and they never contacted me. This is probably because they thought I was too talented and would win too much money.

I’m trying to imply, though, that while it’s easy to chuckle at the following scenario, you also have to feel bad for the unfortunate competitor.

In case you haven’t heard of it, the immensely popular game show Wheel of Fortune has been around for nearly 50 years.

Participants attempt to solve word puzzles to win cash and prizes that are decided by spinning a massive wheel akin to a carnival.

After longtime host Pat Sajak retired, Ryan Seacrest assumed hosting duties for the current season.

Even though Seacrest has only been hosting for two weeks, the show has already included a highly dramatic and disappointing event.

In the bonus round, competitor Vivian Tran was just a word away from winning a million dollars.

“My heart is racing, this is a first for me,” Seacrest said as Tran prepared to spin the wheel. “You’re playing for a $1 million.”

He clarified that a $1,000,000 option had been added to the show’s customary $100,000 envelope.

After spinning, Tran was presented with a puzzle in the category “What Are You Doing?” She chose the letters C, H, M, I, and P, along with an extra letter from a wild card.

Co-host Vanna White revealed the letters on the board, leaving the puzzle as “_ _ _ E R I N G, S _ M E, HELP.”

As the clock ticked down, Tran began guessing: “Wondering some help? Answering some help? Looking around for some help? Boundary for help?”

Sadly, none of her responses were accurate.

When it became clear that “offering some help” was the right answer, Tran became upset.

When Seacrest opened the envelope she had chosen and saw the $1,000,000 reward inside, her disappointment increased.

Even with the difficult defeat, Tran managed to come away with something. But she still won a trip to Europe and took home $27,300.

Fortunately for Tran, a lot of people saw her suffering and offered encouragement in the comments section.

“I’m proud of Vivian for holding it together. I’d be crying on live TV if I missed out on a million dollars like that,” one person said.

Another was added: “If you watched this episode on television and solved this puzzle, this would be one of those moments where you hate yourself that you were right.”

A third person said, “What makes this even more tragic is that the puzzle was SO EASY. ITS BEEN 10 YEARS!!! WE NEED A ANOTHER WINNER!!!”

You had to feel bad for her since, unfortunately, she missed out on the $1,000,000 prize that she so much wanted.
