People Were Confused From Katy Perry’s QR Code On Her, And Here’s What It Means
Fans were curious to learn the meaning behind Katy Perry’s QR code tattoo on her back, which attracted a lot of attention.
On the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom looked amazing together on a memorable night as she was presented with the Video Vanguard Award.
The singer wore a low-rise skirt and a white bralette that was torn. She arrived with Orlando Bloom, her fiancé, and the two kissed in front of the cameras. Bloom looked dapper wearing a black suit, black shoes, and a matching T-shirt.
As Perry debuted her latest look, fans were quick to share their reactions. An amazed fan gushed, “She looks amazing 🤍.” Meanwhile, a puzzled onlooker questioned, “Is that a QR code?”
Another curious user wondered, “Is it me or is there a QR code on her back…” More people noted the mark on her back. “Katy Perry has a QR Code ‘tattooed’ on her back. #VMAs.” A displeased follower simply stated, “She needs to stop.”
One fan remarked, “She’s so desperate,” seemingly unimpressed by Katy Perry’s choice. Another urged others to interact with the mystery, simply stating, “Scan it.”
Meanwhile, an excited fan swooned, “OH THE QR CODE THIS IS SUCH A SERVE #KatyVMAVanguard,” appreciating the unique touch.
Others were left wondering its purpose, with one asking, “What is it for?” and another fan expressing shock, “KATY HAS A QR AT HER LOW BACK OMG #KatyVMAVanguard,” capturing the curiosity surrounding the unexpected feature.
Other online users critiqued her fashion, with a critical fan suggesting, “She needs to fire her stylist.” In contrast, a concerned observer commented, “What is up with her sweaty, dripping outfit?”
Even so, some individuals adored the singer’s outfit. An enthusiastic supporter declared “Katy Perry BEST DRESS OF THE NIGHT!! #KatyVMAVanguard.”
The QR code tattoo on Perry’s back, likely temporary, leads to a website for her new album, “143.” The acclaimed singer performed at the event and accepted the Video Vanguard Award. She was also nominated for the VMA Most Iconic Performance award for “Roar,” which she bagged.
The task of presenting Perry with the Video Vanguard Award went to Orlando Bloom. “Give it up for our newest Video Vanguard, Katheryn Hudson,” he announced, mentioning Perry’s real name.
Bloom added, “You fell in love with her as Katy Perry, I fell in love with her as Katheryn Hudson. You know her as a global superstar who brings love, light and her unique sense of humor into every song she writes and every music video she creates.”
Bloom highlighted Perry’s position as a mother to their 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, highlighting how she instills in their family the same love and happiness as she does in her career.
He expressed how her wholehearted love is truly irresistible. “Congratulations on this honor, baby, I’m so proud of you,” he concluded.
Perry expressed gratitude to MTV for recognizing her distinct style right from the start as she accepted the award. She pointed out that longevity doesn’t happen by accident and that many factors need to come together for a long and prosperous career in the music business.
In addition, Perry thanked the LGBTQ community and acknowledged her devoted following, the “Katy Cats,” saying that their support had been crucial to her success. They have taught her the value of having both kindness and self-assurance, she stressed.
She did not leave her family behind, acknowledging, “Thank you to Orlando for keeping me grounded, celebrated and doing the dishes. And lastly, for my Daisy, the only flower I’ll ever need.”
Perry recently discussed her musical path on the “Call Her Daddy” program. She never saw herself as a well-known pop star, but she discovered her love for singing at a young age. She called it the “magic trick” she used to enthrall others.
“I started singing, and then the room would freeze. And so I was like, Oh, this is interesting. And then I enjoyed it. And it just soothed me. It healed me,” she divulged.
Perry revealed that when Perry was a young girl, her mother lovingly called her “Bird” because Perry would frequently sing herself to sleep. When she was nine years old, she started her musical adventure by singing at church.
She began writing her own songs and picking up a guitar at the age of 13. At sixteen, Perry put out a gospel album, and, motivated by her father’s ministry, she was drawn to the stage at all times.
Her ascent to popularity wasn’t without difficulties, though; at the age of 17, she was having financial difficulties in Los Angeles.
It was challenging for her to endure several label drops before she finally got her big break at the age of 23. The pop artist never gave up and never wavered in her resolve.
