Oprah Winfrey is on the run after an unlucky occurrence that led her to the emergency room in mid-June.

When Oprah Winfrey debuted as the host of her own talk show in 1986, her weight loss journey has been chronicled on television.

In December 2023, Winfrey, 70, admitted to taking weight loss medicine after trying for decades to maintain a comfortable weight through exercise and diets, but to no avail.
The former talk show host, who has been married to Stedman Graham since 1985, said, “The fact that there is a scientifically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for.” “I’ve had enough of being ashamed by other people and especially by myself.”
Although the specific medication is unknown, it is known that she is taking a prescription that inhibits satiety by acting on the brain, such as Wegovy or Ozempic (used to treat type 2 diabetes).
It “may cause some unwanted effects,” such as blurred vision, nausea, bleeding, or, more frequently, diarrhea, According to the Mayo Clinic.

Fans, who claim that Ozempic is the weight loss medication the entrepreneur is using, have a lot to say about it in the meanwhile.

Another, in the meantime, stands up for Winfrey, reminding the internet public that stomach issues aren’t exclusive to prescription weight loss drugs.
