Once You See How ‘Ice Cubes’ Are Made You Will Never Eat Them Again

Without actual ice, an iced beverage is obviously nothing.

But after learning how ice cubes are manufactured, many are determined they will “never eat ice cubes” ever again.

Ice Machine 411, an expert in the field, is an ice machine service specialist who works with the machines “pretty much every day.”

The content producer replaces, cleans, and fixes ice makers while sharing his progress with his fans on social media.

In one of his several movies, the technician examines what looks to be an outdated ice maker that isn’t in the finest of shape.

What he discovered completely disgusted the internet, with many declaring they would never again eat ice.

“So ice or no ice? Let’s see,” he begins while approaching the machine.

Everything looks great after opening it up and looking at the ice itself.

“Yeah, storage man looks alright, but let’s see where ice is,” the content creator warns.

When Ice Machine 411 opens the chamber “where the ice is made,” a ton of black mold is on it.

According to the text overlay, mold is the “common root cause of brain fog, fatigue, gut issues, autoimmune issues, and more.”

Pointing at the ceiling of the white box, the expert continues to find more mould, explaining: “That’s not alright either, ice is made up there, and you literally have; look at this.”

After that, he disassembles the device to reveal every chamber used to create ice, all of which are afflicted with black mold.

Taking to social media, viewers were shocked at what they saw, as one person said: “I refuse ice when out at restaurants; I’m careful of mould and pathogens.”

Scarily, another former ice machine technician also revealed: “I serviced ice machines for years, and that is actually fairly clean compared to what I’ve seen.”

“Restaurants, convenience stores are all the same; they refuse to pay to have them serviced regularly.”

“Bars are the absolute worst. NEVER get ice. Here is something better, just don’t drink soft drinks; they are absolutely terrible for you.”

He clarified that “20-minute” cleanup is also impractical.

“No, to clean them properly, the bin needs to be emptied, cleaned and there is a certain cleaner and a steriliser that need to be run through the machine, then rinsed properly so no chemicals go into the ice,” he explained.

“It takes a couple hours to do it correctly. Crushed ice machines are the worst.”

After reading this, I hope you have a relaxing day.
