Mrs. Eleanor Hargrove was walking her dog one day

The sun was setting over the quiet suburban neighborhood, casting a warm golden glow over the streets.

Mrs. Eleanor Hargrove, an elderly woman known for her kind smile and daily evening strolls with her little terrier, Max, was enjoying the calmness of the evening.

She walked slowly, savoring the cool breeze and the companionship of her loyal dog.

Suddenly, the peace was shattered by the sound of hurried footsteps. A young man, looking desperate and out of breath, sprinted past Eleanor.

In one swift motion, he snatched her purse from her arm and took off down the street.

Eleanor stumbled slightly, her heart racing more from surprise than fear.

Across the street, a young couple, David and Lisa, witnessed the entire scene.

Without hesitation, they rushed over to Eleanor’s side.

“Are you alright?” David asked, concern etched on his face.

“That was awful! Did he hurt you?” Lisa added, placing a comforting hand on Eleanor’s shoulder.

Eleanor, regaining her composure, smiled warmly at the couple. “Thank you, dears, but I’m perfectly fine. Really, there’s no need to worry.”

“But the thief took your purse!” David exclaimed. “We’ve called the police; they should be here any minute.”

Eleanor chuckled, a twinkle of mischief in her eye. “Oh, bless your hearts, but it’s really no big deal. You see, I carry an old purse just for these walks. It’s a bit of a decoy, if you will.”

David and Lisa exchanged puzzled glances. “A decoy?” Lisa asked.

“Yes,” Eleanor continued, still smiling. “I use it to carry Max’s poop until I can dispose of it at home.”
