Model Kim Jong Suk Dies In Tragic Fall After Devastating Financial Scam At 29
Last week, a well-known South Korean TV personality and model passed away, leading to speculation about his cause of death.
Kim Jong Suk, 29, died on June 4 amid claims that a man in his 20s jumped from a high-rise apartment tower in Hanam, Gyeonggi province, following a fight with his fiancée that resulted in the smashing of a glass bottle.
According to those sources, the reality TV participant killed himself to avoid interacting with the authorities following the acrimonious argument.
When the model was laid to rest on June 6, his family acknowledged that he had died, but they did not provide any information about how he died.

However, his sister took to social media to condemn those sharing rumours that Suk had assaulted his girlfriend, writing: “The false information spreading online is causing our family immense pain.”
Three days later, she rejected the growing accusations in a long article, stating that her brother was left reeling after becoming a victim of an investment scam.
“The claims that he barged into his girlfriend’s home drunk, caused a disturbance with a soju bottle, and jumped when the police arrived are not true.”
“He was under extreme financial and emotional distress due to an investment scam committed by an acquaintance.”
“Not only did he lose his entire fortune, but he also fell into debt from the fraud, making daily life difficult. He was exhausted from these circumstances and had been deep in thought for some time.”
Suk started out as a model for a number of fashion labels before becoming well-known in South Korea following the viral success of a promotional video he starred in for the men’s cosmetics company Dashu.
‘Skip Dating’ is a famous reality TV show in South Korea that pairs eight ‘busy, modern young men and women’ for a single blind date to see if any sparks fly. As his profile expanded, he participated in another series of the show.
Suk apparently posted many posts on social media in the days before his death, but his family decided to make all of his accounts private after his death.
Suk’s sister clarified in her Monday post that Suk and his girlfriend had in fact argued, but she maintained that there had been no assault.
“Jong Suk and his girlfriend were drinking separately with their own acquaintances. When he couldn’t reach her, he became worried and went to her home with a friend.”
“Later, when his girlfriend woke up, there was no unilateral assault or rampage — just a simple argument between the couple.”
“As others tried to intervene and tensions seemed to rise, Jong Suk’s friend broke a soju bottle in an attempt to stop the argument, which led to the police being called.”
“Claims that he ran away or tried to avoid the police are also untrue.”
The sister promised to make audio recordings of Suk’s conversation with police and messages he made to his lover available at a later time.
She added that the family will take legal action against social media accounts and news websites that were circulating untrue stories about his passing.
