Lady Gaga’s ‘Satanic’ Coachella Performance Divides The Internet
Lady Gaga’s incredible performance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, on Friday night left fans speechless.
The 39-year-old pop queen has headlined the annual music event twice, the first time being in 2017. This time, she went all out.
By starting her set with the song Bloody Mary, the Paparazzi hitmaker made sure that her performance would be one that fans would never forget. She wore a striking red dress and stood in front of a gothic-style backdrop that featured angels and gargoyles; some fans compared the scene to a “satanic ritual.”
Gaga then launched into songs like Abracadabra, Judas, and Scheiße on the four-act concert, which the singer referred to as a “opera house in the desert.”
During the performance of the song Poker Face, the stage was transformed into a gigantic chess board, and Gaga and her dancers engaged in a planned dance competition between two groups, with the star winning.

Fans unanimously declared it to be “the best Coachella performance of all time” because to the breathtaking visuals, eye-catching sets, many costume changes, and of course, her incredible voice.
Following her performance, music fans quickly expressed their appreciation and enthusiasm for Lady Gaga’s concert on X, formerly known as Twitter.
They penned: “oh Lady Gaga easily one of the best headliners in Coachella history”
“I have no words. All I can say is this Lady Gaga set might be the greatest coachella set of all time.”
“Lady Gaga absolutely devoured her opening to Coachella with Bloody Mary, Abracadabra, Judas & Scheiße this was more amazing then anything We could imagined”
“lady gaga… you might have just taken that #1 spot for best coachella performance of all time.”
“Satanic rituals, fighting doppelgangers, chess queen dance battles, zombies, unsettling crutch walks… It’s a Lady Gaga opera at Coachella. Our girl is back.”
“lady gaga best coachella performance in HISTORY in my opinion so everyone else go home, coachella is cancelled.”
“Lady Gaga’s Coachella set genuinely left me speechless. The creativity, the vocals, the storytelling, the visuals… Insane. One of the greatest performances of her career, and that’s saying a lot.”
Lady Gaga talked about how excited she is to perform at Coachella as she gets ready to do so.
She told the New York Times last month, “I’m getting ready for Coachella, and I’m so, so excited, but I’ve definitely lost sleep a whole bunch of nights, and it’s because I want to do a great job.”
“If there’s a time and a date where you can make the public smile, from 11 p.m. to 1 in the morning on this day, I want to make it happen.”
The Bad Romance singer revealed plans for her 2025 tour in March, which will take her to famous venues including Madison Square Garden in New York and London’s O2 Arena in North America and Europe.
On Thursday, April 17, tickets for the much anticipated tour will go on sale.
Additionally, it was recently revealed that the Poker Face hitmaker would be supporting her most recent album, Mayhem, by traveling to Australia at the end of the year with her Mayhem Ball Tour.
Gaga is scheduled to perform on December 5 at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium, December 9 at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, and December 12 at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.
Eleven years have passed since her 2014 ArtRave: The Artpop Ball tour, during which she played in Australia.
Additionally, it will be Lady Gaga’s first time performing in stadiums in Australia.
