Isaac Freeman iii, Also Known As “Fatman Scoop,” Died At The Age Of 53 After Passing Out On Stage

According to reports, 53-year-old Isaac Freeman III, better known by his stage moniker Fatman Scoop, has passed away.

According to sources like CTInsider and the New York Post, Scoop passed away on Saturday. DJ Pure Cold, whose actual name is Birch Michael, was the famed hype man’s tour manager.

DJ Pure Cold confirmed the tragic news on Instagram, writing in a tribute: “I am honestly lost for words… You took me all over the world and had me performing alongside you on some of the biggest and greatest stages on this planet, the things you taught me have [truly] made me the man I am today.”

“Thank you so much, I love you x.”

It follows TMZ’s claim that Freeman passed out on stage during Friday’s performance at a Town Center Park event in Hamden, Connecticut.

In the video, Scoop can be heard telling the audience to “make some noise” before collapsing behind a DJ booth.

According to the outlet, the hip-hop artist was observed undergoing CPR following a medical crisis. And then someone was seen carrying him out on a stretcher.

Later, according to the Daily Mail, Hamden Mayor Lauren Garett announced that the celebrity had been taken by ambulance to a local hospital, asking supporters to “keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”.

News of Scoop’s death was also tragically confirmed on Saturday by officials from the Reminisce Festival, who wrote on Instagram: “It is with the deepest sorrow that we at Reminisce have received the devastating news of the tragic passing of the legendary Isaac Freeman III, known to us all as Fatman Scoop. This loss has left us all heartbroken.”

Scoop’s cancellation of his performance at this year’s Reminisce Festival will have a significant impact on everyone. He was a valued member of the Reminisce family in addition to being one of our most well-liked performers. We will miss his contagious spirit, talent, and energy more than words can say.

Fans have since flooded the post with tributes, with one person writing: “Awful! What a shame to lose such a legend.”

Scoop’s hits “Put Your Hands Up” and “Be Faithful” are probably his most well-known ones. He also made cameo appearances on Missy Elliott’s and Mariah Carey’s 2005 singles “Lose Control” and “It’s Like That.”
