Footballer Gets Name Of Newborn ‘Daughter’ Tattooed On Arm, But A DNA Test Revealed The Shocking Truth
It’s reasonable to assume that not every tattoo is made equally.
Some are exquisite odes to the things and people who hold the greatest significance in our lives.
Every time we glance down, we have to relive the drunken blunders of others.
Some are simply unattractive.
But for a very different reason, one football player is regretting getting inked.
Ingrid Lima, the ex-girlfriend of Brazilian full-back and former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias, gave birth to a baby daughter named Maitê on October 8.
The now-20-year-old signed a £6 million contract with Shakhtar Donetsk before Real Madrid acquired him on loan in 2022. According to TalkSport, The Guardian ranked him one of the 60 top young talents in the world in 2021.
He has made five appearances in the 2024–2025 season since returning to Shakhtar at the beginning of the current one.
Tobias chose to have her name and the Portuguese phrase “te amo” (meaning “I love you”) permanently inked on his arm since he believed the baby was his, even though he was no longer with Lima.
Nevertheless, a week later, Lima revealed on social media that Tobias is not Maitê’s biological father, according to The Daily Mail.
In a post shared with her 130,000 Instagram followers, she wrote: “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation.”
“Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone, and so was he. We both moved on with our lives.”
“In the meantime, Maitê came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maitê is not Vinicius’ daughter.”
Tobias has not yet responded to the DNA test’s outcome.
Since then, Lima has urged the public to refrain from disparaging Tobias, claiming that they have reached a peaceful resolution.
“I sincerely ask that you stop attacking him; it was at my request that he not attend the delivery and not post anything about Maitê until the exam comes out,” she continued.
“Vinicius and I have already sat down and talked amicably. I wish him the best things in the world, that both can follow their lives in peace.”
