‘DWTS’ Week 4 Ends With A Shocking Elimination That Divides Fans

Although there was a lot of charm on the special night honoring the spirit of Disney in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Disneyland Resort, several finalists concluded the evening in tears.

Several contenders with lower scores stayed in the competition, but in the October 7, 2025, episode of “Dancing With the Stars” (DWTS), a pair was eliminated. Fans were taken aback by the sudden departure, which prompted a flurry of online responses.

Disney Dreams Turn into Heartbreak

With routines based on well-known movies and attractions, the 11 surviving couples turned the ballroom into a glittering Disney celebration. The evening included a number of dances, such as the Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Jazz, Salsa, Foxtrot, and Cha Cha.

The judges were thrilled by the enthusiastic performances and positive reviews of the following stars: Hilaria Baldwin, Danielle Fishel, Alix Earle, Andy Richter, Elaine Hendrix, Jordan Chiles, Dylan Efron, Scott Hoying, Robert Irwin, Jen Affleck, and Whitney Leavitt.

The tournament took an emotional turn with an unexpected elimination following an evening of Disney delight. Affleck and Jan Ravnik, Chiles and Ezra Sosa, Efron and Daniella Karagach, and Hendrix and Alan Bersten were the first couples to be declared safe.

Irwin and Witney Carson, Hoying and Rylee Arnold, Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Leavitt and Mark Ballas came next. Richter and Emma Slater, Baldwin and Gleb Savchenko, and Fishel and Pasha Pashkov were left to wait anxiously on stage.

After doing a Quickstep to “Cantina Band” by John Williams & London Symphony Orchestra from “Star Wars: A New Hope,” Baldwin and Savchenko were eventually identified as the couple exiting the competition.

The Elimination Leaves Fans Divided and Furious

Online, the announcement generated a flurry of passionate fan reactions. Some defended the evicted duo, while others cheered the outcome and thought the results were fair.

One fan couldn’t hold back their admiration, saying, “Y’all be hatin’ but she has the technique of a trained dancer! I fear, this season is so hard to judge [sic].”

Another viewer questioned the backlash against the performer, “Not sure why all the negative comments. She was a great dancer and didn’t deserve to leave. Sometimes I wish the scores were solely up to the judges.”

This fan shared frustration over the elimination, “And yet again, the wrong couple went home.” One commenter pointed out, “So unfair. It’s literally a popularity dance show @dancingwiththestars it’s not about who’s a good dancer! I mean come on Andy or others weren’t close to as good as Hilaria! Ugh [sic].”

Not all fans were upset. One viewer who was satisfied with the outcome noted, “Justice is served.” And finally, one fan expressed sheer delight, “I am actually so happy this week w [sic] the results ❤️.”

A Night of Sparkles, Scores, and Surprising Results

The wonderful Disney night has scores ranging from 25 to 18. With 25 out of 30, Leavitt and Ballas were first on the leaderboard. Hendrix and Bersten, Earle and Chmerkovskiy, and Chiles and Sosa were next in line with 24 each.

Fishel and Pashkov drew with Hoying and Arnold at 21, while Efron and Karagach, Baldwin and Savchenko, and Affleck and Ravnik all scored 23. Richter and Slater completed the list with 18 out of 30, while Irwin and Carson finished just above the bottom with 22.

Nevertheless, the judges gave Baldwin and Savchenko greater ratings than they had the week before, and they seemed like promising candidates to keep an eye on. But the sum of the public votes and judges’ scores was insufficient to keep them in the tournament.

Richter and Slater garnered the lowest judges’ scores of the night for their Ratatouille-inspired dance, thus many thought it would be their last night.

Baldwin’s Final Words

After they were eliminated, Baldwin and Savchenko had a chance to share a few words. “Listen, I’m so proud of you,” Savchenko told Baldwin as they walked across the stage.

After taking the mic from co-host Julianne Hough, Baldwin shared that “this has been an incredible experience.” She continued, “I am so grateful to all of you, I’m so grateful to my children and my family. I’m cheering on everybody in the cast. This has been an amazing time.”

Savchenko went on to describe Hilaria Baldwin as a “superhero and an incredible mom.” He added, “You are truly an inspiration.”

In a subsequent interview, Baldwin was asked if she had taken away any lessons from “DWTS.” She fought back tears as she talked about how she had come to accept vulnerability and open her heart to something she had previously closed off.

The 41-year-old broke down when she remembered discussing the prospect of being eliminated early with her daughter, who turned three during her competition.

Baldwin would know that she tried, even if she was sent home immediately, according to her daughter. Baldwin expressed her wish that her kids will always strive for excellence in all they do.

Reflecting on their journey, Savchenko expressed his gratitude for dancing with Natasha, stating that she infused every performance with so much love and emotion. Baldwin was always the first to show up for rehearsals and put in a lot of work, he added. Both of them expressed pride in their performances during the competition.

Baldwin Reflects on Fighting the Nepo Baby Label

Baldwin’s time on “DWTS” wasn’t without problems and controversy. She had to respond to accusations early on that she had joined the program as a result of her husband Alec Baldwin’s influence.

The yoga instructor said on an episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat: podcast, If he ever made a call, that would make things easier on me, I would feel like I didn’t deserve it.”

She made it clear that her ranking in the competition was determined by her own skills and hard work, not by outside assistance. Baldwin highlighted her dedication to independence and hard work, adding that she wanted to be given opportunities based on her own merit.

She went on to say that she is purposefully determined since she is aware that anyone who marries a celebrity can be easily called a nepo baby. “It gives you the terrible impression that you don’t deserve anything. It’s a terrible sensation, especially for a Capricorn like Baldwin.”

Lauren Jauregui’s elimination also stunned the ballroom, as we previously reported. On Tuesday night, September 30, 2025, the Fifth Harmony singer revealed her rage after getting eliminated from “DWTS” with a one-word response that went viral right after.

Even though the celebrity and her dance partner Brandon Armstrong gave it their all during their performance, the judges weren’t impressed. Jauregui took some time to thoroughly discuss her departure from Entertainment Tonight following her one-word response.

Grand Entrance, Glittering Dress… Then Crushing Disappointment

It was immediately apparent that Jauregui’s performance was intended to create a statement as she stepped onto the stage from a tall construction elevator. She appeared like a pop queen, ready to command attention, wearing a bright yellow minidress with tassels that shimmered in the lights.

The ballroom was filled with the opening rhythms of Fifth Harmony and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Work From Home” when she saw Armstrong on the floor. He was wearing a high-vis vest to fit the construction site concept of the performance.

Without wasting any time, the pair launched into a spirited cha cha that featured dynamic spins, spectacular hair flips, synchronized hip sways, and sharp arm movements. The audience, who seemed enthralled with the pair’s stage persona, cheered every step, from seductive dips to quick cha cha routines.

As the performance came to a close, Jauregui happily raced out to join her other Fifth Harmony members in the audience, who cheered her on with exuberant claps and smiling joy.

When the results were announced, however, the joyous atmosphere soon gave way to disappointment as Jauregui was removed from the tournament. The singer didn’t sugarcoat her sentiments when cohosts Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro asked her what she thought.

Her Raw One-Word Reaction That Said It All

“Pissed,” she expressed bluntly, the single word capturing the sting of the moment with striking honesty. Her candid response sparked a surprised laugh from Armstrong, who stood supportively at her side. Despite the frustration, Jauregui took a beat to acknowledge her partner, turning to him with sincerity and adding, “I’m so grateful to have had you as a partner.”

There was a noticeable change in sentiment, a blend of unguarded vulnerability and polite departure that connected with the audience in real time.

Fans Call It a ‘Disrespectful’ Elimination: ‘Y’all Wanted Her Off’

Fans and detractors alike had fervent reactions on the internet almost immediately after the results were revealed. Many defended Jauregui, arguing that her withdrawal was unfair and a sign of a more serious problem with the competition.

One viewer fumed, “Andy is sweet and etc, BUT he can’t even move. Baron being eliminated last week was already absurd. Lauren leaving this week is literally disrespectul #dwts [sic],” before quickly returning to correct their spelling and double down — “disrespectful SORRY I’M PISS [sic].”

Another supporter declared, “Unbelievable. Lauren Jauregui did not deserve to be eliminated. She was one of the best!!!!! [sic].”

Some fans speculated that factors beyond dancing may have influenced the judges’ decision. “She got eliminated because of her advocacy. Y’all are not slick. The intentional underscoring…y’all wanted her off,” one netizen alleged.

Still, not all feedback was in Jauregui’s favor. Several viewers pointed to the quality of her performance. “Unpopular opinion: I just thought Lauren’s dance was boring & stiff. ♀️ BUT… she wasn’t my least favourite so [sic] I’m still surprised with her elimination #dwts,” opined someone else.

Echoing similar sentiments, one commenter stated flatly, “She can’t move lol,” while another agreed, “Unfortunately she can’t dance however if I was her, I’d be pissed too [sic].”

A different netizen added, “y’all just have to admit… lauren’s dancing tonight was just NOT IT #DWTS im sorry [sic],” accompanying their words with a shrugging Reese Witherspoon GIF.

There was also criticism of Jauregui’s demeanor throughout the competition. “i just thought lauren’s attitude always seemed like she thought she was better than everyone…. [sic],” shared one viewer, hinting that public perception may have influenced voting as much as performance.
