Dolly Parton Was Being Criticized For Looking “Cheap” And “Ugly” – But She Hit Back In The Most Perfect Way

Dolly Parton has been in the center of attention for a very long time.

The legendary singer’s fame has outlasted practically everyone alive today because her music and style have never gone out of vogue.

Yet even a legend like her has to answer for her detractors.

Some of them have reportedly been rather vocal as of late, picking on her for how she looks despite the fact that she is getting close to eighty years old.

Dolly Parton, who is 77 years old, is a legend in the worlds of country music and show business.

The Tennessee native has become a legend, and despite having spent virtually her entire life onstage, she still enjoys playing for her many fans.

Dolly Parton announced her retirement from touring in a recent interview with Pollystar. She went on to say:

“I’ll do special shows here and there, now and then. Maybe do a long weekend of shows, or just a few shows at a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-blown tour anymore.”

Dolly Parton, who rose from poverty in the Appalachians to the top of the entertainment world, will be sorely missed onstage.

Her fame cannot be denied, yet not everyone approves of the way she appears.

It appears that her physical appearance has been a topic of contention for the majority of her career.

Dolly has mentioned that she was once told she needed to change her look if she wanted to succeed professionally.

“The main advice that people want to give me was to change my look – to go simpler with my hair and the way that I dress,” she explained,

“Not to look so cheap, nobody was ever going to take me seriously, they would say.”

The cruel remarks haven’t stopped increasing in frequency over time. Some people’s preconceived notions of Dolly seem all the more justified.

One Twitter user wrote: “Dolly Parton is One ugly lady,” while another said: “Dolly Parton is so ugly, but she got nice breasts.”

Dolly is defiant and positive despite receiving a lot of hateful comments online. She is confident with her appearance and is not planning any changes.

“It costs a lot of money to look this cheap,” she once famously said.

The country star hubby has stated in the past that his feelings for her are unconditional.

“He doesn’t care if I’m fat,” said Parton.

“He was never turned off. He’s fool enough to think I’m the sexiest, prettiest woman in the world.”

Dolly, maybe predictably, still craves promotion and new responsibilities.

Rolling Stone reports that she is finally ready to accept her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022 and plans to celebrate the occasion by releasing an album that is outside of her typical sound.

Last year, news broke to much fanfare that the legendary Dolly Parton was being considered for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Yet if you believe the rumors, the diva herself was hesitant to even be considered for the award at first.

According to rumors, Jolene singer believes that others are more deserving of induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame than she is since she has largely focused on country music throughout her career.

But the voters spoke, and they concluded that Dolly did have a place there.

She was admitted into the Hall of Fame in the month of November, and since then, she has been working hard to prove that she deserves to be there.

Dolly Parton has talent, and I don’t care what anyone says about it.
