Dolly Parton Makes A Huge Announcement

Dolly Parton’s level of fame is unparalleled, and she is one of the most adored and alluring celebrities of all time.

After decades at the top and innumerable iconic concerts and albums, the country music legend turned 77 with very little left to achieve…

Perhaps understandably, Dolly is hungry for success and fresh challenges. Rolling Stone reports that she is finally ready to celebrate her upcoming induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, and she plans to do so by releasing an album that is outside of her typical sound.

Fans were overjoyed last year when it became obvious that Dolly Parton was under consideration for a position in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after her great career.

Although the superstar reportedly did not want to even be considered for the award at first. The Jolene singer was claimed to be of the opinion that since her career consisted largely of country music, others were possibly more suited to finding their way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In the end, though, the people spoke, and voters agreed that Dolly did belong there. She was admitted into the Hall of Fame in the month of November and has since been working to prove that her induction was well-deserved.

If you haven’t heard, Dolly is now working on a rock album, and it will feature a veritable who’s who of rock n’ roll royalty.

Dolly gave The View an exclusive look at the lineup for her upcoming album on Tuesday, revealing that she has already enlisted the help of music superstars including Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, Steve Perry, Steven Tyler, and John Fogerty.

Regarding her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she reflected as follows:

“I just didn’t feel like I had earned it but they explained to me why I was in it and all that so I said, ‘Well, if you insist on giving it to me, I’ll take it,’” she told the hosts of The View.

“But if I’m gonna be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I’m gonna have to do something to earn it.”

Dolly’s album has not yet been officially announced, but rumors suggest it will feature covers of “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin and “Satisfaction” by the Rolling Stones.

Also, Dolly quipped that she’s trying to enlist Mick Jagger’s support:

“I’m doing my best to try to get him on, but I did his song anyway.”

It’s already public knowledge that Cher is going to feature in some way on the album, though Dolly hasn’t yet determined what song she will make an appearance on.

“That’s gonna be a big thrill,” she said.

Regardless of how creative her new album may seem, the news will be positively greeted by her fans throughout the world.

Dolly broke the news to them in an interview with Pollstar back in November that she would no longer be touring, which was a major blow to the company.

”I’ll do special shows here and there, now and then,” she said.

“Maybe do a long weekend of shows, or just a few shows at a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-blown tour anymore.”

I’ll be happy as long as Dolly Parton continues singing and performing. When I claim that she is one of the finest musicals ever performed, I believe I speak for many people when I say that.

Tell your friends if you’re excited to hear Dolly’s new album. Meanwhile, drop a message in the box on Facebook to give this great woman a very happy birthday!
