On Instagram, action actor and martial artist Chuck Norris broke the devastating news of his mother Wilma Norris’s death at the incredible age of 103.

Norris continued with heartfelt words, honoring Wilma’s enduring legacy: “Our mom was a woman of unwavering faith, a beacon of light in our lives, and her love reflected God’s grace. Growing up, her laughter filled our home with joy, and her hugs provided a sense of safety that we will forever cherish.”
The martial artist spoke tenderly about the lessons she instilled: “She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, often putting the needs of others before her own. From my earliest memories, she taught me the importance of kindness and compassion.”

He concluded with a message of eternal love: “We love you, Mom. Until we meet again.”

Chuck’s life was anchored by Wilma Norris. She brought up Chuck and his two brothers, Aaron and Wieland, frequently in challenging situations, coming from a family of Irish and Cherokee heritage. Ray Dee Norris, Chuck’s father, served in World War II, but the family had difficulties, including a divorce when Chuck was only sixteen.
The family traveled from Oklahoma to Prairie Village, Kansas, and then to Torrance, California, thanks to Wilma’s fortitude and faith. Chuck’s career as an actor and martial artist was made possible by her love and tenacity.
Heartbreak was a part of Wilma’s life. Wieland, Chuck’s younger brother, sadly died in the Vietnam War in 1970.
Wilma remained a rock of compassion and faith through it all, creating a legacy that her loved ones will always treasure.
Chuck’s homage serves as a constant reminder of the enduring strength of maternal love. At this time, our thoughts are with Norris and his family.
