Donald Trump Issues Scathing Attack On Europe In Chaotic Un Address

During his tumultuous speech to the United Nations today (September 23), Donald Trump launched a vicious attack on Europe.

Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, the US president criticized the organization’s aid for asylum seekers, insulted the mayor of London, and threatened the teleprompter operator.

Trump’s entire incident appeared somewhat normal for him, as he joked about bidding on the contract to renovate the headquarters while lamenting an escalator that broke down on his way in.

Before launching into his verbal assaults, he used the mistakes as an opportunity to vent about the UN in general, saying that all he received from it was a “bad escalator and a bad teleprompter.”

“What is the purpose of the United Nations? The UN has such tremendous potential… but it’s not even coming close to living up to that potential. For the most part all they do is write a strongly worded letter,” he added.

And he was sure to get in his takes on immigration here in Europe, as he slammed the warning: “Your countries are going to hell.”

Additionally, Trump asserted that Europe is “in serious trouble.”

“They’ve been invaded by a force of illegal aliens like nobody’s ever seen before and nobody’s doing anything to get them out. It’s not sustainable,” he said.

The President asserted that despite their seeming “pouring in,” nothing is being done to address this alleged “trouble” that Europe is suffering because of the need to be “politically correct.”

Speaking about NATO nations, Trump told the UN members that it’s time to halt the “failed experiment of open borders” and that “Europe has to step it up.”

According to Trump, it is “embarrassing” that certain members have “not cut off” Russian energy goods, thereby “funding the war against themselves.”

The US president says his nation is ready to impose “a very strong round of powerful tariffs” if Russia is unwilling to reach an agreement to stop its conflict on Ukraine.

However, European countries must “adopt the exact same measures” in order for that to be effective.

Trump set a record with his address, covering a wide range of (and rather arbitrary) subjects.

He took somewhat more than 56 minutes, which is more than any US president has ever taken, even though speakers are normally allotted 15 minutes to address the UN assembly.
