HBO Reveals Lead Cast For New Harry Potter Series — Meet The New Harry, Hermione, And Ron
The actors who will play Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the upcoming Harry Potter series have been revealed by HBO.
Fans all across the world are excited to see the new cast, and the new series has been eagerly awaited.
Important parts have already been filled, including Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, and Jon Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore.
Nick Frost, a fan favourite who starred in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, has also been confirmed as Rubeus Hagrid.
After Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint dominated the roles in the first three films, the crucial trio has been revealed with enormous shoes to fill.
Dominic McLaughlin is a newbie who is playing the legendary role of the Boy Who Lived.
According to a press announcement, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley and Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger join him at the centre of the enchanted three.
The three “screen newcomers” who will star in the next HBO series, which was revealed today (May 27), are expected to bring J.K. Rowling’s cherished novels to life in a whole different way.
The production roster behind the scenes reads like a premium TV who’s who. Along with David Heyman of Heyday Films, the same production company behind the first Harry Potter films, and Neil Blair and Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, J.K. Rowling is serving as executive producer for the series.
Mark Mylod (Succession, Game of Thrones) will direct several episodes and act as executive producer, while showrunner and executive producer Francesca Gardiner, who has worked on Succession and His Dark Materials, is scripting the series.
In a joint statement, Gardiner and Mylod said, “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron.”
“The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”
Although a release date has not yet been established, excitement is already running high as filming is anticipated to begin this summer.
