Melania Trump Has Spent Fewer Than 14 Days At The White House Since January—Sources Say That’s “Generous”
When people learn how little Melania Trump has been at the White House since her husband’s inauguration, they are startled.
On January 20 of this year, Donald Trump took the oath of office as the 47th President of the United States, his second term in office. Additionally, First Lady Melania has not been present during the POTUS’s recent 100-day mark in office.
The 55-year-old former model has chosen to maintain a low profile, appearing in public sparingly in recent months and missing her husband’s campaign route.
In addition, Melania avoided Trump’s court appearances and was only recently saw at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn and the funeral of the late Pope Francis the day before her birthday.
She did, however, make her first of few, infrequent public appearances in March, when she called on lawmakers to take action against “revenge porn” and AI-generated intimate images that are hurting young women and girls. She also made another appearance on May 8 to unveil a postage stamp in honour of former First Lady Barbara Bush and to attend a ceremony for military mothers.
However, everyone is wondering where she is after these few fleeting appearances.
According to The New York Times, it has now been disclosed that the mother of one has only visited the White House a few times during her husband’s 108 days in office, totalling less than 14 days.
According to the news outlet, even that assessment would be “generous,” yet her conspicuous absence might not be as contentious as it might appear.

How much time has Trump spent at the White House?
Despite being in office for more than 100 days, Trump hasn’t spent much time at the White House. Instead, he has been travelling about his personal properties, such as Mar-a-Lago and Trump National Doral in Florida.
NBC News reported that Trump had spent 12 of 14 weekends on his personal estates and portions of 40 days on locations other than his presidential office.
According to the news source, he has stayed at Mar-a-Lago on nine of the fourteen occasions, where he enjoys playing golf in Jupiter or West Palm Beach.
What are the living arrangements at the White House?
In addition to being the President’s office, the White House is also the residence of the President and his family.
From President Theodore Roosevelt’s six children wreaking havoc to the addition of a sandbox for Franklin D. Roosevelt’s grandchildren, a treehouse for Jimmy Carter’s daughter, and a trampoline for the Kennedy family, numerous families have enjoyed the building and turned it into a playground over the years.
From a senior prom for President Gerald R. Ford’s daughter in 1975 to a wedding for President Lyndon B. Johnson’s daughter Lynda in 1967, where she used a sword to cut her wedding cake, it has also been the perfect location.
In contrast to her predecessors, Melania allegedly prefers to live at Trump Tower in New York, where her son Barron also resides while he is a college student, rather than on the presidential grounds.
In an appearance on Fox & Friends prior to Trump’s return to the Oval Office, she seemed to indicate that she wasn’t very like of the living arrangements, stating that it was “challenging” to live there for the first time and that she knew the rooms “where we will be living.”
“But this time, I have everything. I have plans I could move in. I already packed, I already selected the, you know, the furniture that needs to go in. So, it’s very different,” Melania said.
Barron would “come and visit,” she added.
What has Melania said about returning to the White House?
In the interview, Melania also alluded to the fact that she is eager to grow her ‘Be Best’ campaign against cyberbullying, despite not receiving’much support’ from the roundtable during her husband’s first term.
“I gave him my advice, and sometimes he listens. Sometimes he doesn’t and that’s okay,” Melania also said about her husband.
Melania said she goes wherever she is needed, which includes going back to the White House.
“I will be in the White House,” she said. “And, you know, when I need to be in New York, I will be in New York. When I need to be in Palm Beach, I will be in Palm Beach.”
“But my first priority is, you know, to be a mom, to be a first lady, to be a wife. And once we are in on January 20, you serve the country,” she added.
“Maybe some people they see me as just the wife of the president, but I am standing on my own two feet. Independent. I have my own thoughts. I have my own yes and no. I don’t always agree with what my husband is saying or doing, and that’s okay.”
