With almost 20 million followers, Lucy Welcher is a social media star who recently shared a video that went viral.
The young blonde says she’s “the worst type of person…who cannot handle getting their own way,” can be often seen sitting in her car in her videos with an iced coffee or bragging about how much she bought at one of her favorite shops.
On November 8, 2022, the woman, who was then 20 years old, shared a TikTok video with the words “Not my thing [laughing emoji] #working #scam.”
“I do not want to work for the rest of my life. Does it look like I want to get up at 6 a.m. every f**king day for the next 60 years? No! I’m too pretty for that!” she said in the nine-second clip.
People quickly left comments, and many of them called the person who made the video “lazy” and “entitled.”
“Boy I wish I had your confidence, the same confidence to feel like I’m better looking than I actually am. God you people are so shallow and in love with yourselves,” writes one TikToker.

“Someone’s entitled,” another blasted. “I hope you get humbled girl, you need it. Looks have nothing to do with working and it’s sad you have that mentality.”
“How about trying to be an adult instead of a privileged princess expecting life to be handed to you?” asked a third cybernaut.
‘Slandered’
After people commented, Welcher deleted the controversial video and wrote in a new post that she’s being “slandered all over social media for that video I posted” because people didn’t get the sense that it was a joke.
The TikTok star then goes on to read and correct some online stories where she says she doesn’t own “class vehicles” or make $100,000 a year. Welcher also says that she is Canadian and finds it funny that people think she lives in a mansion because her house is actually falling apart.
‘Remake’
After a few days, on November 14, Welcher shared a new video of herself drinking her iced coffee. She found the attention amusing.
With the title “Remake of the most hated video I’ve ever made,” Welcher reads the same lines from the “I’m too pretty” video that she later deleted.
Most people online rallied behind her this time because they knew her first post was just for fun.

“You’re 100% correct, getting up early going to work will spoil your good looks,” shares one.
A second writes, “This video and the first one gave me life.”
“You are too pretty for that,” writes someone else who loves pretty people. “Those are just the hard cold facts of life.”
