Kate Middleton Was ‘Crushed’ On Her Birthday By Prince William’s Shocking Decision

Earlier this week, Kate Middleton rejoiced in her 42nd birthday. Supposedly, the Princess of Wales and her guests celebrated in the quiet grounds of Anmer Hall, their Norfolk rural estate.

With an incredibly busy year ahead for her and Prince William, this may be one of the last opportunities to spend time with loved ones.

Since her first public appearance as a member of the royal family in 2006, Kate has been through a lot and celebrated many birthdays in that role. Her 2017 was a roller coaster, mostly due to the sensational accusations made about her in Harry’s book Spare.

Although birthdays should be a time of celebration, Kate’s has not always been the case. Actually, Kate’s life was completely flipped upside down when William allegedly delivered some devastating news to her on her wedding day many years ago.

Kate Middleton celebrated turning 42 on January 9. Many people offered their congratulations to the princess, but her family was the first to do so.

A photo of the Princess of Wales from her coronation was shared by King Charles and Queen Camilla with the remark, “Wishing The Princess of Wales a very happy birthday today!”

At the coronation, Kate wore the official red and blue robes of the Royal Victorian Order. Royal admirers unanimously agreed on one thing about the photo of her. Hidden beneath her white Alexander McQueen gown, the princess wore a shamrock, rose, thistle, and daffodil design, each representing one of the four British crown jewels. On top of that, Jess Collett and Alexander McQueen created a unique headpiece specifically for Kate to wear.

“A stunning Princess Her Royal Highness Understands. Honour. Duty. Loyalty. The Monarchy is in safe hands,” one user wrote on Instagram.

“Aww what a beautiful picture! I love it. Happy birthday to our amazing Princess of Wales! I hope she will have a great day and a wonderful new year! We all love you, Catherine,” a second added.

A third commented, “I wish Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales Catherine a happy and wonderful birthday, and despite the years passing, her beauty, elegance and solidarity remain unchanged, unchanged over time.”

Only on the king’s “second birthday”—the King’s Birthday Parade, or Trooping the Color—are royal birthdays publicly fêted.

So what did Kate Middleton do for her birthday?

Neither King Charles nor Queen Camilla were present on her day out, as reported by Vanity Fair. Charles preferred to start the new year at his Scottish estate Birkhall than at Sandringham, where they had enjoyed Christmas.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, a family friend informed the publication “Charles and Camilla are in Scotland but there will be phone calls and presents sent.”

Kate doesn’t like extravagant parties.

Rumor has it that King Charles supposedly loves the location where William and Kate will be married, Birkhall, but that will most certainly not come to pass.

“While there is a shuffle of royal houses currently ongoing and speculation that William and Catherine might be getting Birkhall, now they are the Prince and Princess of Wales, I am told that the King plans to keep the residence because he loves it so much as does Camilla,” the friend added.

In honor of her birthday, Kate spent the weekend at Windsor with Prince William and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Jr. Revelers gathered at their Norfolk rural manor, Anmer Hall, to rejoice with them.

At Anmer Hall, the family enjoyed a long Christmas and New Year’s holiday. Spending so much time with her husband and kids allowed Kate to unwind and get ready for the busy year ahead as the kids didn’t go back to school until January 10.

For special occasions, like her 40th birthday, Princess Kate has chosen to share fresh, eye-catching photos of herself. But she’s never been one for big parties. But, as is customary for all members of the senior royal family, Westminster Abbey’s bells tolled to celebrate Kate’s birthday.

“Catherine isn’t into big flashy occasions and really just likes to spend her birthday quietly with her family and close friends,” a friend told Vanity Fair.

The year ahead will be very busy for Kate Middleton and William, as previously stated. Because of the royal couple’s frequent international travels, the public anticipates that they will participate in more royal activities in favor of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Kate Middleton rumored to carry out solo tour overseas

After making a stop in Australia and maybe New Zealand, they will head to Samoa in October for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. This will be the first royal tour of Australia since 2011.

Princess Kate’s obligations have been piling up, leading some to speculate that she may go on a solo tour of the world.

Kate Middleton’s family seems to share the public’s opinion that she has become one of the most beloved royals. King Charles is believed to “adore” his daughter-in-law, who has served the royal family for more than ten years. The Daily Mail reports that the monarch is reportedly eager to publicly acknowledge Kate’s work and is considering bestowing the highest accolade upon her as a gesture of gratitude.

Royal insiders are speculating that King Charles may soon name his daughter-in-law a ‘Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter,’ solidifying her status in the family, according to the Daily Mail.

As a member of the Order of the Garter, you have achieved one of the highest forms of honor. Today, Princess Alexandra, Queen Camilla, Anne, and Princess Royal are all Garter Royal Ladies. Princes William, Andrew, and Edward, as well as the Dukes of Gloucester and Kent, are all Royal Knights.

Celebrating her 42nd birthday was the perfect way for Kate Middleton to kick off the new year. But she hasn’t always been happy at the end of her birthday celebrations. Apparently, the Princess of Wales was “crushed” in 2008.

According to royal writer Katie Nicholl’s book Kate: The Future Queen, William had to make a decision about whether or not to rejoin the Household Cavalry after finishing his duties in the Armed Forces.

On her birthday, William’s decision reportedly “crushed” Kate.

Although it came as a shock to his loved ones, William ultimately chose to enlist in the Royal Air Force (RAF), as described by Nicholl. His decision floored Kate, who was his girlfriend at the time.

“With that single decision, Kate’s life was turned upside down. She had expected a proposal once William had completed his military training. But instead, she was forced to accept that there would be no engagement any time soon. Kate would have to wait even longer,” Nicholl wrote in Kate: The Future Queen.

“Kate supported his desires and ambitions, but privately, she was crushed. William was asking her to be an army wife — without the nuptials. Her frustration was understandable.

Katie Nicholl continued, “For Kate, it was a step backward. It seemed that everyone was getting married except for her. As she neared her 27th birthday, Kate’s plan to be married with children by the time she was thirty was looking increasingly unlikely.”

It had been less than a year since William and Kate Middleton reconciled and reconciled after their brief split, which had the potential to permanently alter royal history.

But he asked his soulmate to be his wife in 2008. That was two years later.

While on vacation in Kenya, William got down on one knee. According to reports, the prince had a ring in his possession for three weeks and refused to part with it. While Kate Middleton had entertained the thought that William could pop the question, the news nonetheless arrived as a “total shock” to her.

“It was very romantic,” Kate said. “There’s a true romantic in there.”

In their engagement interview, William said, “Everywhere I went, I was keeping hold of it because I knew this thing, if it disappeared, I would be in a lot of trouble, and because I’d planned it, it went fine.”

Kate’s engagement ring belonged to Diana

“You hear a lot of horror stories about proposing and things going horribly wrong – it went really, really well, and I was really pleased she said yes.”

Obviously befitting a future queen or queen consort, the ring was magnificent. It was Princess Diana’s (William’s) property.

“So I thought it was quite nice because obviously she’s not going to be around to share any of the fun and excitement of it all – this was my way of keeping her sort of close to it all,” the prince added.

The wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton took place in London’s Westminster Abbey on April 29, 2011. The future king and the now-Princess of Wales were married in front of an audience of about 2,000 people.

Royal wedding preparations are no easy feat, and William and Kate were well aware that the world’s population would be tuning in to see the big day.

Meanwhile, Kate had to take care of a few things before she could finally marry her soulmate. One of those things might be crucial to the future of the royal family, says royal analyst Tom Quinn.

Details on Kate’s need to undergo a fertility test were among the many bombshells revealed about the royal family in the author’s book Gilded Youth: A History of Growing Up in the Royal Family.

Since Kate was a bride from outside the royal realm, William and Kate were subject to various regulations before their wedding, according to Tom Quinn. This was because she was essentially considered a “commoner.”

A fertility test was required of Kate Middleton prior to her marriage to William.

Next in line to succeed to the throne after William is his first child, according to the order of succession. That being the case, Tom Quinn thought it was critically important that Kate be able to procreate. So, before she could marry William, her soulmate, she had to undergo a fertility test.

“These are always carried out to ensure a future queen is able to have children,” Quinn wrote in Gilded Youth: A History of Growing Up in the Royal Family, as reported by Yahoo! News.

“If Kate had not been fertile, there is little doubt the marriage would have been off.”

Quin added that Kate Middleton “must have known precisely what was going on, but she is not, nor has she ever been a rebel.”

In reality, fertility testing was done by several royals before Kate Middleton. Princess Diana and the preceding generation were no exception. Hello said that Diana had to take a comparable exam before she wed Prince Charles in 1981.

Quinn mentioned Diana’s test in his book as well.

“Diana complained in a brief encounter with the present author that she had in all innocence thought her premarital check-ups had to do with general health, only realizing later on that she had actually been tested for fertility. ‘I was so innocent I just went along with everything at that stage,’ she said,” the author wrote.
