Scottish Star Darius Campbell Danesh Dies At The Age Of 41
Just weeks from a reunion tour with his former co-stars Darius Campbell Danesh was found dead in his bed at the age of 41. The cause of death is still unknown.
Darius was very excited for his reported Pop Idol homecoming, according to sources close to Darius.
The showbiz world was shocked of his passing. Police said there were no signs on any suspicious circumstances or intent, as they wait for the toxicology report.
He lived in the US and was married to the beautiful Canadian actress Natasha Henstridge. They got married in 2011 but divorced in 2018.
His former wife broke the silence to mourn his passing with a short statement: ‘There are no words Darius… only Love Love Love. Forever Janam.’
It comes as Simon Cowell, 63, led the tributes to the late singer he first met in 2002 when he finished with 3rd place on Pop Idol, as the music mogul released a statement honoring the star who passed exactly 20 years after he got on the top of the charts with his single Colorblind.
Darius turned down a record deal from Simon Cowell, but the two have remained friendly over the years. It was also revealed that Darius visited Simon’s home in Malibu for one evening to attend the party and judges’ homes taping.
Simon told MailOnline: ‘I first saw Darius on television over 20 years ago and I got to know him really well. He was charismatic, funny and just a great person to be with.
‘His passing, for someone so young, is an absolute tragedy and my heart goes out to his family and friends.’
One of the last pictures taken with Darius was with his actor and friend Gerard Butler.
