2004 PS2 Title ‘kuon’ Becomes Collector’s Holy Grail—Sealed Copies Fetch Up To $1,400

Many of us feel ageing as the original PlayStation celebrates its 30th birthday this December.

There are many retro games that evoke strong feelings of nostalgia, but some of them can also bring in a sizable sum of money.

To obtain rare video games, collectors are prepared to spend a significant sum of money. One game from 2004 in particular has grown so rare that it now fetches an absurd price.

For example, Batman Forever Arcade, which debuted in 1996, is one of the games that costs $155.

It is possible that you may get $590 for an ancient copy of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which was released in 1997.

There is one game, though, that utterly outstrips those numbers.

Look through your previous games and see if you have a copy of Cindy’s Fashion World if you want to earn a lot of money.

It is regarded as one of the rarest PS1 games available, and a copy of it is presently selling for an incredible £1,700 ($2,226) on eBay.

Nevertheless, the fact that it is currently so valuable has no bearing on the game’s quality.

It was a low-budget game targeted at young children when it was initially launched in 2004.

It was swiftly taken off the stores shortly after it was published, which is why it is so uncommon.

The makers at Phoenix Games had to remove the game from sale because of a flaw that essentially rendered it unplayable.

If you are able to obtain a copy and would like to give it a try, that is the best course of action. It did, in fact, function flawlessly on the PS2.

However, because the game wasn’t available for long, it’s difficult to locate.

Showing off his collection of PS1 games on social media, one fan posted on Reddit that they had “been actively looking for a good deal for Cindy’s Fashion World.”

The collector, known as @PS1archive, revealed that they were attempting to obtain a copy of every PS1 game but had not been successful in doing so thus far. They added, “At the rate things are going, I think I will be very lucky to see it for less than £1000!”
