In 2015, a 17-year-old boy went missing while out walking his two dogs in northwest Houston, Texas. He was eventually located safe and sound.
News outlets in the area said that Rudy Farias was discovered unresponsive in front of a church.
Blood was supposedly dripping from his scalp and he was covered with bruises and wounds.
At this time, he is recovering in the hospital.
On March 6, 2015, Rudy was 17 years old when he vanished.
The teen’s dogs were found, but he never came back for good. His family reported him missing after making the shocking discovery.
After several days of searching for the teen, authorities called off their efforts on March 10.
On March 12, 2015, officials resumed the search after gathering new information, only to call it quits the next day.
Law enforcement at the time speculated that Rudy’s disorientation stemmed from his failure to take medicine for his depression, PTSD, and anxiety.
After 8 Years
The Texas Center for the Missing announced on July 2, 2023, that Rudy had been “located safe.”
“Please continue to keep his family in your prayers as Rudy recovers in the hospital,” the organization said on Twitter.
Mother feels her son was assaulted, she told KTRK.
She added that her son, who is now 25 years old, can only speak a few words at a time and sometimes assumes the fetal position when she tries to have a conversation with him.
She is pleased her son made it home safely but recognizes that he faces a challenging road to recovery.
