WATCH: When The 82nd Airborne Chorus Stepped On Stage, The Judges Had No Idea What’s About To Happen

Some of the most talented people in America are featured on America’s Got Talent.

Each season of the TV show, which is hosted by Terry Crews and judged by Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara, attracts millions of people.

The 18th season of the show, which aired in 2023, features contestants vying for a $1 million prize.

The show claims on its YouTube page that “This season promises to deliver some of the wildest acts to ever grace the ‘AGT’ stage,” The 82nd Airborne Division “All American” Chorus performed a unique presentation during their AGT audition.

Staff Sergeant Gilbert gave the order to start the performance. He saluted the group and led them with unwavering military precision onto the platform.

With their distinctive maroon berets, full-color 82nd Airborne Division insignias, and OCP uniforms, the paratroopers left a lasting impact on the judges and spectators.

Staff Sgt. Gilbert interrupted the seriousness with a pleasant “Hey everybody” that made their goals apparent. He exclaimed, “We’re here to win,” to Cowell.

Troops from all throughout the 82nd Airborne Division make up the All American Chorus, which is based at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

They are collectively said to represent “the hearts and souls of the paratroopers, past and present.”

In light of this, the All American Chorus’s AGT performance was devoted to honoring Spc. Elijah Crawford, who passed away the previous week.

The troopers went to work when Staff Sgt. Gilbert gave the command for the chorus to fall in.

The All American Chorus opened with a classic airborne cadence, led by Staff Sgt. Gilbert.

The judges appeared a little perplexed by this, but the audience cheered and applauded.

Then the real entertainment started, with the troops belting out The Temptations’ “My Girl” in a cappella.

As the crowd grew louder, the soldiers’ unison surprised both Crews and the judges. Klum said, “Yes,” Mandel began to waver, and Cowell even smiled.

As the crowd clapped and sang along, other troopers took turns leading the chorus.

The performance’s choreography was a fantastic fit for the song. To guarantee the 82nd’s win, the All American Chorus had a surprise waiting at the conclusion, in typical Army flair.
