Woman Brings 23 Family Members On A Blind Date To Test Man’s Generosity
When a woman invited 23 family members along on their blind date, her attempt to gauge her date’s generosity went terribly wrong.
Her intention was to test the generosity and sharing of her date, but things didn’t work out that way.
Miss Zhang went on a date with Mr. Lui at a restaurant he enjoyed.
After offering to take Miss Zhang out to supper, Mr. Lui was taken aback when she arrived with 23 family members.
Mr. Lui found himself in an awkward predicament because he was ill-prepared to pay for such a large party.
This incident happened in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang in a restaurant. The local newspaper, Taizhou Evening News, covered the story.
Miss Zhang thought that Mr. Lui would be kind enough to take care of her and her family, but since it was their first date, her strategy was incorrect.
The Expensive Dinner
It became evident throughout dinner that Mr. Lui was not pleased with the unannounced visitors.
Upon leaving the restaurant, he did not settle the bill. Miss Zhang was left in charge of paying the 20,000 yuan (about $3,100) cost.
Miss Zhang didn’t let the situation go to sleep. She filed a lawsuit against Mr. Lui, but the court ruled that he was only required to pay 1,400 yuan of the total.
Miss Zhang made a costly and unsuccessful attempt to gauge Mr. Lui’s generosity. Despite her good intentions, her approach was misguided.
This narrative emphasizes the value of openness and communication in partnerships, as opposed to using tests to determine a person’s character.
