White House Responds After Donald Trump Misses Out On 2025 Nobel Peace Prize

The White House has expressed their displeasure that someone other than Donald Trump was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025.

Known as ‘one of the most outstanding examples of civic heroism in Latin America in recent times’ for her efforts to advance democracy for the Venezuelan people, María Corina Machado received the prestigious award.

She was recognized for “her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy,” according to the Nobel Peace Prize committee, and she seems like a deserving recipient who merits the honor.

The White House, on the other hand, doesn’t share this opinion, as US President Donald Trump has made it obvious that he truly wants to take home the gleaming gold medal.

Trump has repeatedly stated that he would have received a Nobel Peace Prize by now if he were Barack Obama, and the White House has responded to his failure to do so this year.

A contrary stance was taken by White House Director of Communications Steven Cheung, who stated that Machado had ‘inspired millions’ by staying in Venezuela despite the fact that her life is under risk, while the committee cautioned that ‘democracy is in retreat’ globally.

Posting his response on social media, he said, “President Trump will continue making peace deals, ending wars, and saving lives.”

“He has the heart of a humanitarian, and there will never be anyone like him who can move mountains with the sheer force of his will. The Nobel Committee proved they place politics over peace.”

Trump was campaigning for the award before the winner was revealed, claiming that “everyone says I should get it” and making the hotly debated assertion that he had “ended seven wars.”

The committee stated that they based their choice “only on the work and the will of Alfred Nobel” and pointed out that campaigns and “media tension” surrounding the Nobel Peace Prize were nothing new.

The fact that nominations for this year’s prize ended in January, only a few days after Trump began his second term as US president, may have contributed to his failure to earn the honor, even though a number of foreign leaders indicated they might nominate him.

Maybe someone could tell Trump that he can try again next year and put the toys back in the stroller.

He once asserted that if he had been Barack Obama, he would have received the Nobel Peace Prize “in 10 seconds.”

Whoever has done the most “for fraternity between the nations and the abolition or reduction of standing armies and the formation and spreading of peace congresses” is expected to receive the honor.

The Nobel Peace Prize has been given to four US presidents: Barack Obama, Woodrow Wilson, Jimmy Carter, and Teddy Roosevelt.
