Uncle Si Of “Duck Dynasty” Shares Update Following Lung Surgery

Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si Robertson, who has been ill for nearly a year and a half underwent lung surgery. Surprisingly optimistic about his prognosis, the 74-year-old hopes to once again share his distinctive voice talents with the world.

Si’s early 2021 COVID-19 diagnosis was cause for alarm due to his poor respiratory health and COPD, both of which are likely to have been exacerbated by his smoking habit. In a podcast episode titled “Duck Call Room,” he revealed that he was paralyzed with fear and worried he wouldn’t make it through the infection.

His co-hosts pointed out that he might have avoided this by being more cautious and doing things like remaining at home, getting medical help sooner, and taking his medications as directed.

Recently, Si, host of the Duck Call Room podcast, said that he has been diagnosed with lung disease and did require surgery.

Throughout the series, Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si has had to deal with a variety of health issues. He had open heart surgery and is now having trouble breathing. Which made his contracting COVID-19 in February of 2021 all the more worrying.

[Si] shared with us, he thought it was the end, ”Si’s nephew, Willie, relayed on an episode of his family’s Facebook Watch show At Home with the Robertsons. Were it not for members of the family really being with him and encouraging him, I’m not sure he would have made it.”

Si, though, survived, albeit he had to use oxygen for a bit longer.

At the start of September, Si had surgery. He recently reported on the status of things… everything seemed to have been successful.

“The doc says surgery went great. I’m ready to get back at it, Jack!” Uncle Si captioned a picture that shows him resting in his hospital bed. “Thanks for all the prayers and support. It means the world to us.“

We hope Uncle Si gets well soon and completely.

A good case in point is Uncle Si’s courageous attitude toward his health problems. Our hopes are with him as he makes a full recovery.
