Simone Biles Addresses To Comments About Her Hair, Hours Before Winning Her 8th Olympic Medal
Some people feel the need to criticize the world champion, Simone Biles, despite the fact that she is the most decorated American gymnast in history, having won over 35 medals in the Olympics and other competitions and being the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
“Simone Biles hair never being done properly be pissing me off. Everybody else on the team is put together, then she looks like she just rolled out of bed.”
On her Instagram Story, Biles, 27, posted a letter to her detractors ahead of the women’s gymnastics team finals.
“Don’t come for me about my hair,” the Olympic athlete captioned a video of herself. “IT WAS DONE but [the] bus has NO AC & it’s like 9,0000 degrees,” she continued. “Oh & a 45 min ride.”
In a separate Instagram Story, Biles shared a selfie writing, “Gonna hold your hand when I say this 💋Next time you wanna comment on a black girls hair. JUST DON’T.”
Many people have complimented Biles on her hair during the tournament.
While many ladies prefer to wear their hair in a bun or slicked back ponytail, Biles has been seen with looser hair.
According to the rules, USA gymnasts must be “well groomed in her appearance” and make sure their hair is “secured away from the face so as to not obscure her vision of the apparatus.”
Many individuals have criticized Biles’ haircut on social media in spite of the guidelines.

“I’m confused Did Simone biles purposely not do her hair?? Every single gymnast CLEARLY has their hair gel/sprayed down and in a tight beat appearance. Her bun is literally flopping around with pieces sloppy everywhere. It almost seems… on purpose…? Wtf”

Nothing about Simone’s hair bothers me. She shouldn’t be prohibited from wearing it any way she pleases because she isn’t breaching any laws. All anyone should do is leave her alone!
