An Innocent Man Was Given A Sentence Of 17 Years In Jail, But After The Judge Saw The Evidence, He Ordered That The Man Be Set Free Immediately

Just imagine what it’s like to rot in jail, but not for being a guilty, on the opposite: for being innocent!

This man was sentenced to 17 years of jail time, but when the judge saw the evidence he ordered this man to be set free immediately.

When the law is broken, we end up in jail as a consequence. But what happens if we abide by the law, pay our taxes, raise a family with hard earned money, but still get wrongfully convicted of a crime we didn’t commit? What then?

Richard Anthony Jones was an ordinary man who lived with his wife and children in Missouri.

He was always making sure that his bills are paid, his taxes, and his wife and child are protected and fed.

One day the police came and detained him for a crime he didn’t commit. Or so he said at that time.

He said that he had no idea why he was convicted of something he didn’t commit. He told that he’s a God-fearing, humble man who makes sure that his family is fed and protected.

At the trial, there were no fingerprints, but eyewitnesses verified that he was guilty of an armed robbery and began serving his sentence in a prison with the highest level of security in 1999.

It looked like the world was against Richard. In the prison where he was held, he was constantly confused with another inmate who almost looked like his identical twin brother. They also had the same first name.

After getting to know all the specifics about his “twin” brother, the man attempted to make an appeal and explain to the lawyer about what he heard in prison, but to no avail. He was unsuccessful in his attempts.

After the appeal, the attorney submitted photograph of Richard’s “twin” brother, who looked almost exactly like him. They came to a conclusion that the real robber is still out there roaming free.

After serving 17 years as an innocent man for a crime he didn’t commit, he was set free in 2016.

When he was first sent to jail, he had a newborn daughter, who is now 17 years old.

Richard went through a horror for something he had no involvement with. Life is not always fair, but at the end of the day he got his innocence. But the real perpetrator is still out there causing more trouble in the world.

I wouldn’t be able to keep it up all those years as an innocent man. What a brave individual.

Tell everyone about this incredible event!
