Reality Star Rushed To The Hospital For Surgery After “Multiple Tumors” Were Found On Her Brain
After “multiple tumors” were discovered on her brain, a reality star was taken in for emergency surgery.
According to Teddi Mellencamp, star of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, physicians think the brain tumors have been expanding for at least six months. Following weeks of “severe and debilitating” headaches, she was admitted to the hospital this week due to the “unbearable” discomfort.
Teddi told fans she is getting surgery on Wednesday (February 12) to remove two of the tumors and that the remaining tumors would be dealt with “at a later date”. In a statement on Instagram, she wrote: “For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches.”
“Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believed had been growing for at least 6 months. Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today—the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”
She thanked everybody for their support, adding, “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses, and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health. Thank you to everybody who has reached out and to everyone who has supported me along this journey.”
Before the procedure, Mellencamp shared pictures from her hospital bed. She was wearing a hospital robe and had gadgets on her forehead. “Counting down the minutes until my babies get here,” she wrote in her note.
“As my dad said this am, God only gives hard stuff to those of us who can handle it. It’s a hard day but I have faith and amazing surgeons and know everything will be ok.”
In the subsequent video, Teddi was having her hair shaved off by a friend, yet she maintained a positive attitude despite the frightening circumstances. “I’m going to have this look on my bucket list!,” she said before adding, “My best look!”.
