Police Give Major Update After Body Found In Trunk Of Singer’s Tesla

An update on the investigation of a body discovered in a Tesla truck has been released by the police.

Police were notified earlier this month about a car in the Hollywood tow yard in Los Angeles that was emitting an unpleasant odor. The automobile is believed to have been at the yard “for a couple of days.”

A decomposed body was then discovered in the car’s trunk by law authorities, which was a gory find.

In a statement to LADbible Group at the time, the LAPD said, “On 9/8/25 around 12:20 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Mansfield Avenue for a foul odor coming from a vehicle at a tow yard.”

“Detectives responded and located possible human remains. It is currently a death investigation. We do not have information on the owner of the vehicle.”

The car’s registration was later found to belong to singer D4Vd, whose true name is David Anthony Burke.

D4VD was on his Withered tour when the discovery was made public. Yesterday, he was scheduled to play in Seattle, but the event was canceled.

According to reports, the artist is ‘totally collaborating with the authorities’ and is aware of the circumstances.

D4Vd ‘has been told about what’s transpired, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the police,’ according to an earlier statement from his representative.

Celeste Rivas, 15, has been identified as the victim by police after they have identified the body.

In April 2024, Rivas was reported missing. According to a missing poster published at the time, she was just 13 when she vanished. She was 5′ 3″, weighed 120 pounds, had dark brown hair, and brown eyes, according to the description.

The last sighting of Rivas occurred around Lake Elsinore in California.

Her identification follows last week’s announcement by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner that the body was that of a female, believed to be approximately 5′ 2″ with wavy black hair, according to BBC News.

‘Shhh’ was also tattooed on her finger, which was discovered to be part of the bones, which were not intact.

Although Rivas’ timing and cause of death have not yet been established, authorities think the girl may have been deceased for a long time.

“At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death. Thus, we do not have any suspect information at this time,” LAPD has said, per NBC News.
