Pamela Anderson Shares Sweet Red Carpet Kiss With Liam Neeson
The two had become close on the red carpet after Liam Neeson previously acknowledged in an interview that he was “madly in love” with Pamela Anderson.
As they posed together at the London premiere of The Naked Gun, Anderson kissed Neeson on the cheek, bringing more real-life interest to their impending on-screen collaboration.
According to Page Six, the two celebrities were content to be together as Neeson, 73, put his arm around the 58-year-old Baywatch legend, who dazzled in a strapless deep purple Rodarte gown.
Neeson appeared to be the charismatic lead actor, dressed in a grey suit and black shirt.
In an interview with People back in October, Neeson raved about how much he admired Anderson.
“With Pamela, first off, I’m madly in love with her. She’s just terrific to work with. I can’t compliment her enough, I’ll be honest with you,” he said. “She just comes in to do the work. She’s funny and so easy to work with,” adding that she doesn’t have a “huge ego.”
The admiration is clearly mutual. Anderson called Neeson “the perfect gentleman,” adding: “He brings out the best in you … with respect, kindness and depth of experience. It was an absolute honor to work with him.”
She also talked about how she would bake him bread and cookies and leave them in his dressing room as a behind-the-scenes gesture of gratitude.
“[He] sincerely looked after me — wrapped his coat around me when I was cold,” she revealed.
In their next movie, a reimagining of The Naked Gun, Anderson portrays a traditional “femme fatale,” while Neeson plays Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Leslie Nielsen’s original character.
The film, which was directed by Saturday Night Live alum Akiva Schaffer, also features Danny Huston and Paul Walter Hauser.
Fans looking for an in-person relationship may be let down despite their on-screen chemistry and sincere love.
While both actors are currently single, Neeson has made his position clear. “I’m past all that,” he told PEOPLE in October 2024.
Neeson has mostly kept his romantic life quiet since the terrible death of his wife, actress Natasha Richardson, in a 2009 skiing accident and a brief liaison with public relations specialist Freya St. Johnston.
Despite being most recognised for his action-packed parts in films like Taken, Neeson takes a humorous turn in The Naked Gun.
This will be his first full-length lead part in a comedy, despite his forays into comedy with roles in Ted 2, A Million Ways to Die in the West, and Derry Girls.
